You're the one that I want(ed), honey

Lightweight, inexpensive, powerful, and cute as heck, the Wanachi Mini would be the perfect toy for experimentation with vibrating massager wands if it weren't for the toy's inferior quality.

Use

This is a good massage wand for a curious gal on a budget. It broke a mere couple of weeks after I purchased it, but it was such a blissful couple of weeks that I can't even blame the poor thing. Before the Wanachi Mini went to that big ol' toy chest in the sky, it was good for clitoral stimulation, but oddly, divine for back and neck massage. For a silicone toy, it is surprisingly smooth and does not catch on body hair or pick up fuzzies, which worked well both for erotic and non-erotic use, particularly in the shower where I used this waterproof toy to relax and to RELAX.

This toy has made me a vibrating massager convert, so if you're curious about wands and whether that level of power intensity is really for you, this is a great first buy. If you're already a wand owner and know that you like the added oomph, you'd probably be better served saving up for something more durable.

Material / Texture

The Wanachi Mini has three main elements: the head (silicone), the bendable neck (flexible plastic), and the base (hard plastic). As the head is where the action's at, I've focused on that particular material in this review.

I purchased the Wanachi Mini in white specifically because of the look of the head, and I was certainly not disappointed by the look or feel of the real thing. The pearly finish of the head is very sleek and attractive looking. There's hardly any drag, which means that it does not catch on hair or pick up lint (some of the characteristic faults of safety-first silicone), so in this respect, the Wanachi Mini was both a safe and appealing buy. There is a seam running around the circumference midway down the head and a circular seam in the center of the very top of the head. These seams are very slight, and I did not notice them when the toy was in use.

Initially, the toy has an odor, but after a couple of washes (and maybe a shower use or two) this completely wears away. And (I did this just for you, EF users!) it does not have a noticeable taste.

Design / Shape / Size

If only the Wanachi Mini held up better to wear, the design would be just perfect. As you can see from the product pictures, this is, at the very least, an elegant toy to add to your collection. It's not multifunction, but for a multispeed toy it works wonderfully. It is small and light enough that you are not going to kill your arm while trying to please the rest of you, and the combination of the firm head and bendable neck makes this toy effective, both in applying pressure and letting you have a little give.

I could (but won't) write pages in praise of the bendable neck. The flexibility of this particular feature will be your saving grace when you have a rough day at work. Not only does the neck let the marshmallow-shaped head hit your clitoris at exactly the right angle, it does the same for your shoulders, neck, scalp, chest, and jaw. This feature is relaxation. It is joy. It is a definite reason to buy.

Wands are inherently difficult to hide. As a class of sex toys, they're the clunkiest, biggest, loudest clitoral stimulators out there. The Wanachi Mini does not SHOUT sex toy, but it does moan it. Basically, your kids might mistake it for a back massager, but nobody else will. Even so, at 8" and with no power cord, the Wanachi Mini is as close to a discreet vibrating massage wand as it gets. The (relatively) light weight also guarantees that your self-pleasure can still be a one-handed venture.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This wand is multispeed but not multifunction. On, off, and intensity are all controlled via a twist knob at the base directly over the battery compartment. The knob turns very easily. In fact, it turns a little too easily, and it wasn't unusual, when I was first getting acquainted with the toy, to slip and accidentally change the speed.

The vibrations are mostly located in the silicone head but they do travel through the handle, so you might get numb-arm--a tragic power-vibe truth. The vibrations are VERY strong, and they tend toward rumbly, although, at the highest speed, you'll hear a high-pitched whine and feel a deep but buzzier sensation. For a wand, the noise is pretty discreet. I have a roommate, and with my door shut and my sheets up, I don't have to worry about her overhearing the mechanical part of my play time.

As far as waterproofing, when the device was still fully operational, I would often take it in the shower with me and did not encounter any problems. I would not recommend taking the Wanachi Mini in a bath or fully submerging the toy, however, as it does not have a waterproofing ring, and I can see a few areas on the toy where water could potentially seep in. But just to drive this point home, super-slippery sexy shower-time: highly recommended.

Care and Maintenance

The silicone head makes this toy very easy to care for. After use, washing requires nothing more than warm water and a gentle soap. If you prefer, you can also use a toy cleaner on it. If you were to get anything in the ridges of the bendable neck, that might make it a little more difficult to clean, but that was never an issue for me.

I store the Wanachi Mini in my toy drawer (read: underwear drawer) in the original box. As you can see in my video, I did not initially intend to keep the box (it's nothing special), but the toy did not last long enough for me to find alternate storage. It is very important to keep your Wanachi Mini away from other silicone toys as silicone-on-silicone contact can melt your toy. This also applies for lubes. Always choose a non-silicone-based lube for use with your Wanachi.

Packaging

The Wanachi Mini came in a cardboard box with the toy's name and picture on the front. Nothing explicitly labels the Wanachi Mini as a sex toy, but it is not discreet. There are no extensive directions, but the toy is fairly intuitive, so directions are hardly necessary. The toy is held in place by two disposable plastic pieces for transportation.

Brief EF plug: Eden Fantasys always uses discreet exterior packaging and billing to keep your purchase as private as you could care for it to be.

Personal comments

I bought this toy as a first vibrating massager wand. I had long wanted to try these high-intensity, rumbly, toys, and the inexpensive Wanachi Mini seemed to be just the thing for a test run. During this incredibly stressful time of year, I was so pleased to find that the deeply penetrating vibrations were great for my muscle aches in addition to my sexual wants. Alas, only a couple of weeks into use, the knob (which turns the Wanachi Mini on and off and changes speeds) broke off. The toy is now completely useless even after a lot of attempted tinkering, and I am NOT an abusive toy user. On the plus side, the Wanachi Mini has further piqued my interest in vibrating massager wands, and I now know wands are for me. Next time I'll just have to make a higher quality buy.
Follow-up commentary
This was a really powerful toy when it was still working. Now I can't even try to rig it together for a temporary fix as I was doing when I wrote the original review. At this point, I'm just trying to crack it open to get the rechargeable batteries out so that I can use them for something else before I toss the toy. Again, I actually would recommend the Wanachi if you want an inexpensive way to test how wands work for you and/or your partner before investing in something more expensive. Unfortunately, the Wanachi Mini is probably not going to be that long-term toy friend for you.

Based on your review, sounds like it'd be a perfect "My First Wand" toy, and had I not went for the big guns off the bat I could see myself picking this.

It's too bad the toy broke. Even though it was a lovely short period of time. I hate wasting money on something that will break all to soon. It's too bad, I liked this one. Thanks for the honest and helpful review.

Great review. Thanks for the heads up on it breaking so easily. If I got one free to review I would but don't think I can waste any money if it can break that soon.
