Zook Me To the Top

This is a fantastic rabbit style vibrator, but of course it’s design will not work for all users. The Zini Zook is a luxury rabbit, so you are getting all the bells and wistles to go along with it, including a nice storage box, and pouch. The fact that it is rechargeable and has a slew of patterns, makes this a wonderful toy to own.

Use

The Zini Zook is a rabbit style vibrator, meant to stimulate the clitoris and G-spot simultaneously. Weather or not it works for you is entirely anatomy dependent. The reason why I say that is because everyone’s body is different, and the placement of the G-spot and clitoris varies from woman to woman.

It has two motors, and 15 amazing patterns to keep any new owner occupied for a while. The packaging states that the Zook is waterproof, but the flap over the charging port seems rather flimsy, and water can easily seep under the buttons, so I would not submerge this beauty.

Material / Texture

The shaft and the clitoral stimulator of the Zook is made of silicone, and the control panel is ABS plastic. The silicone feels very soft and luxurious, if you have the MiMi, it’s the same kind of texture. It feels wonderful. There is a seam around the entire toy, but it is barely noticeable which is always nice.

A little drop of lube really goes a long way. It doesn’t suck up lube like other silicone toys with a lot of drag. Stick to only water based lubricants as silicone lubes will degrade the Zook.

Design / Shape / Size

The Zook is crafted very well. The design of the Zook is a lot like the Ina, however the clitoral stimulator is very flexible. It is like a tongue, but there is nothing animal-like about this rabbit style toy. Even though it is flexible, it can stay in place very well between the labia. It just won’t give you the pressure that Ina does. The shaft is beautifully curved to hit the G-spot, but will work best for someone with a shallower G-spot.

The entire Zook is 8 inches long, with 3 ½ of that being insertable. The circumference is 4”, but it tapers down to 2 ¼” near the clitoral stimulator, so it will definitely not give you that full feeling. This is great for those who love smaller rabbit vibrators. The clitoral arm sticks up 1 1/2 “ from the shaft, but will easily accomidate those who are shorter because of the curved shape of it.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Zook is operated by three buttons. The “+” button turns the Zook on, and allows you to increase the speed or cycles through the different patterns. The middle button allows you to switch from steady vibration mode to pattern mode, and holding this button down will make the Zook go through all the patterns on its own. The “-“ button will decrease the vibrations, or cycle the opposite way through the pattern modes, and holding it down for a few seconds will turn it off, no matter what pattern you are in. A really handy feature if you happen to be interrupted.

There are so many patterns with the Zook which is truly an experience all on its own to discover. You get so many variations of pulsating, escalating, and back and forth throbbing vibration modes, it’ll be difficult to pick a favorite. Each pattern is color coded, so you can easily remember which ones are your favorite. Even though the Zook has two motors, it will definitely not be heard through a closed door. The vibrations are deep and rumbly, which stimulate so much better than buzzy surface vibrations.

The Zook is rechargeable, so all you have to do is flip open the flap over the charging port on the back side of the control panel, and plug it in for a few hours to let it charge. It will give you about 1.5 hours of run time. A blue light will indicate it is fully charged. Depending on how much battery life you have left, there is a color code associated with that. Red obviously means it needs to be charged, and will change colors as it charges, from red, orange, yellow, light-green, green, and then blue for full power. To check the battery life, just hold the middle button down for a few seconds and it will blink the color that is associated with how much power you have left. This is luxury at its finest folks!

Care and Maintenance

Surprisingly, the silicone material of this toy doesn’t grab onto tons of hair, lint, and other things you didn’t know you had. It is really easy to clean, just rinse it with warm water and soap, or toy cleaner. You can also wipe it down with a 10 per cent bleech solution to sterilize it. There are no crevices or deep cracks to worry about fluids getting trapped in.

The Zook is very travel friendly, just press the “-“and “+” buttons down for a few seconds and it will lock. Do the same thing to unlock it. It is a good idea to keep the Zook in it’s storage box or pouch to prevent it from reacting with other toys.

Packaging

Like most luxury toys, the packaging for the Zook is absolutely stellar. The box it comes with is perfect for storage because it is nice and sturdy. You also get a user manual, storage pouch, and the charger. The Zook sits in a plastic mold, but you can get rid of it to make more room in the box. The manuals provide a lot of useful information about the product that will be very good for a new owner to look at.

Experience

Unfortunately the Zook didn’t do a whole lot for me. The G-spot shaft was too short to carry any vibrations to where I wanted them to go, and the clitoral stimulator wasn’t strong enough for me. This doesn’t mean you won’t enjoy it though. Rabbits don’t work for everyone, but I feel this doesn’t take away from the toy in any way.
Follow-up commentary
I wasn't entirely happy with this toy so I gave it away to someone who it would work for. If you like a lot of vibration on your clit, this one won't deliver.

Now see the secretary has a deep G-Spot as well and a toy that doesent reach really is a bummer. We have had that problem before where we spend alot of money on a toy we expect to love then we find out it isnt deep enough to stimulate her properly. Sorry it didnt work out. Thanks for the review though.

  • Zini Zook...
    • So, I got my Zook a couple days ago..it seems to be taking A REALLY long time to charge, there's something wrong with it, or I'm completely missing something?

It's blue when it's charging which means it should be done charging (I think?) But I can't turn it on when it's off the charger.. Also when I click the O button it's always red and it's been charging for at least 12 hrs.

Has anyone had a similar problem or..have any insight as to what I'm doing wrong? ...Or know how long it takes to charge
    • If you read the manual, it'll tell you that all Zini products come travel-locked so they don't turn on when they're being shipped. To unlock it, hold the minus (-) button and then while still holding it, add and hold the plus (+) button so that you're holding them both. It'll come unlocked after a few seconds. It may take a few tries if you're not good at it like I'm not. Lol.

EDIT: Also, it's not taking a long time to charge. Blue means it's completely charged.

I'm pretty sure I unlocked it, and it's still acting weird.

It's blue but it's not turning on when it's off the charger? unless that means it's still locked and I'm terrible.

  • Zook is it worth the price?
    • I'm looking to get a rechargeable, waterproof rabbit (it will be my first rabbit). I am really big on pin point stimulation and I'm curious about the strength of the clit attachment. There are only a few reviews of the Zini products cause they are REALLY expensive, but if you're lucky enough to have one would ya mind telling me about it or writing a little review?
    • I don't have one... but I'd never spend that much on a toy unless it was with points only. This is shooting pretty high for a first rabbit... what if the little attachment falls short or something? That would suck. =[ But hey, if you're totally certain you want it just go for it!!!
    • There is an extremely thorough review up now. Consulting Zini's web site, Zook's design places its external motor below the clitoral arm, not inside it. This is presumably so that the arm will be flexible and fluttery; however, it obviously will come at the expense of direct and intense vibrations.

The Hua is very similar but has its motor located in the arm. I am curious to see how the reviews on that one will pan out.

Personally, based on cool features alone, Zini's prices seem justified. But given that knowledgeable reviewers on this site seem to feel that rabbits are anatomy-specific and can't be designed to satisfy all bodies, I'm figuring I'll wait for sales and reduce my risk of disappointment.
