The product is made out of Silicone, which of course is one of the safest materials for anal play. When first removed from the packaging, it had an odor to it, as most toys do. After washing twice, the smell disappeared nicely. The silicone is stiff, but still flexible enough for most.
The Vibrating Prostate Stimulator is designed as what I would call a typical prostate stimulator. It is more of a probe design than of a plug, dildo, or vibrator. The stimulator has two wide bases that make it ideal for safe anal play. The first base measures 3 3/4" long, and the second base, which is 3/4" from the first, measures 2 3/4". The overall product is 5 1/4" long, of which about 3 3/4" is insertable. It is 1 1/4" in diameter, making it a great beginner toy. It has an opening that is slightly over 1/2" in diameter on the bottom, that allows for the insertion of the provided bullet, or for another bullet of equal diameter. The supplied bullet vibe is 1/2" diameter and 2 1/4" long.
The end has a slightly tapered tip which is meant to be pressed up against the prostate. The insertable portion has three bulbs that provide a unique sensation while inserting, which some may or may not enjoy.
Overall Length: 5 1/4"
Insertable Length: 3 3/4"
Diameter: 1 1/4"
Bottom Base: 3 3/4"
Second Base: 2 3/4"
Special Notes: Product has two bases and three bulbs, which are insertable.
I found the Vibrating Prostate Stimulator to be quite easy to insert. Being a smaller diameter of 1 1/4" and having a tapered end made insertion very easy. Once inserted, I never felt like it was going to pop or slide out on its own, which makes it great for hands free or couple play. The silicone material, once lube is applied, felt slippery enough for easy use, but not slippery enough to slide out of your hands.
The supplied bullet vibe has a simple twist to turn on/off, with little variable speed/power when adjusting. I found that the vibrating function wasn't the best. The vibrations seemed to be more external to the product than internal. This made it seem to tickle more than provide pleasure. The supplied vibe isn't all that powerful, but does what it needs to do. The bullet fits very tight into the stimulator, that we ended up breaking the top (the control, on/off) part of the bullet vibe when attempting to remove for cleaning.
Since the product is made of silicone, you can follow the typical cleaning methods for it. In my case, I used warm water and a mild antibacterial soap. You can also use toy cleaner, boil for three minutes, soak in a 10% bleach solution, or place in your dishwasher on the top rack.
Being as it is made of silicone, water based lube should be used. Any other lubes should undergo spot testing to make sure it doesn't damage the product.
The packing of the product is quite minimal. It came in a clear, formed plastic shell, with a single colorful insert to describe the toy. The drawback to the formed plastic, is that even the three watch batteries for the bullet had their own "pocket". This made it slightly difficult to remove the batteries. At least the plastic was slightly weaker/thinner which made removal not as difficult as it could have been.
I found that the toy really didn't hit my prostate or provide the "stimulation" as in the name. It felt great as an insertable toy, though. The bottom part that is non-insertable is a little weak due to being hollow to allow for insertion of the bullet vibe. This means it can be difficult to move the toy around to supply pressure to the prostate. The t-handle design does allow for easy grip.
While the toy didn't provide prostate stimulation for me, I can't really remove a star for that, as everyone is different. It still felt great even without the stimulation.
