We went looking for Valentine’s Day news this morning and realized after a half hour, um, hour totally appropriate amount of workee-work time had passed that most V-Day news is as manufactured as is the holiday itself. There is the longest kiss contest in Thailand – 33 hours, a new world record. Rules: Lips cannot part at any time, but contestants were allowed to drink water, coffee, milk or juice through straws. They also had to remain attached during bathroom breaks every three hours—accompanied by contest monitors.

Well, how long did that hold your interest? Same here. So we went looking for a better Valentine’s Day kissing video, something with a little more prurient interest, but we had to watch this several times because it was just too cuuuuute:
And we thought for a minute that maybe anteaters should be the official animal of Valentine’s Day, but it was only for a minute because there were, like, these other links to click on, about the science of a kiss (We love science!) and NOT getting STDs on Valentine’s Day (We love not getting STDs!)
And then, of course, it was time to watch another video we’d found:
And, you know, somehow that video and the tune, “Your Devil” by Lazybones, just sort of did it for us, this year. So we wrapped it up and sent it to a Valentine or three, along with a vintage card we swiped (one for each) and you know what? Our work was done.
So please, by all means, steal this Valentine, or any part of it you like, and send it to someone you like that way if you think it will do the trick. We won't tell. We just want you to be Happy Valentines.
