Have a geeky games night. Pull out Battleship, chess, checkers, whatever games you want and spend the night playing them. Let your competitive spirit come out a bit and modify the rules however you want. Just spend the evening from some tasty snacks playing away. This can be a relaxing and stress free night that is really easy. And it can bring back some childhood memories. Learn a new card game together. Teach your partner your favorite game and just have fun. If you get too competitive, stop keeping track of score and just play till you are bored.
Go out to the club even if you are a bit older. Have some drinks, take some delicious shots, and go dancing. Even if you do not think you can dance, just go for it; no one really cares or knows how to at a club. I find once people actually start dancing, they really enjoy it. It is just that initial fear they have to get over. A couple drinks can sometimes help the nerves. Pick your favorite genre of music and go have fun. Techno, pop, country, it doesn’t matter. Just go out and dance and let loose. After dancing alone for a bit phone some friends and invite them out too. It can be a bit more fun when you have another couple or friends with you. Really get down and dirty at the club. Grind on your partner, get touchy and flirty. That stuff is very common at clubs and most often security is perfectly fine with it. If you are feeling very adventurous, you could take a sex toy with you, such as the Club Vibe 2.0 which vibrates to the music. It would lead to a very interesting night and hopefully get you in the mood by the time you got home.
Hot Air Balloon Ride
Spend a lovely afternoon above the clouds sipping on champagne. Although not for everyone who is afraid of heights, this can be a very romantic and private experience. It does tend to be on the expensive side, but look for tickets at silent auctions and look for sales. There is something breathtaking about getting a birds eye view. Lazily drift over the country pointing out how small cars and people look. Hold each other tight and look over the basket a bit. Just spend a romantic afternoon together sight seeing with each other for company.
This requires you to get a bit down and dirty because removing hooks from fish can be difficult. Hop into a boat, grab your rod, some hooks and go fishing. If you really know what you are doing, offer to fillet them and cook your partner dinner. Fishing tends to be a slow activity so you have lots of time to relax, talk, and get to know the other person better. But when a fish bites, it turns into a fast paced, splashing, adrenaline rush settings. You want to get that baby in quickly and make sure he stays on the line. If you have never fished before, I would recommend getting a guide if you are going to go. But if you have, this can be a great way to show off your skills and enjoy a sunny afternoon together.
Fill up some water balloons, get some water guns, fill buckets, and have a water fight. To make it more sexy, only wear white t-shirts and white shorts with no underwear. Only do this in your own back yard though. Spend half an hour getting soaked, surprising each other with attacks, and just laughing. Make sure you plan this one though, as a complete surprise water fight can leave one partner mad and upset. Afterwards, clean off with a shower together and then dry off in the sun just holding hands and being close together.
Go the spa and get a couples massage. This can be a relaxing and intimate experience. You can both get massaged where it is sore. Dim lights, candles, and just a good feeling are all part of a massage and it is a lot of fun. Afterward you feel nice and relaxed. You can talk to your partner while you get a massage or you can just spend the time quiet and relaxing.
Pull out a pair of binoculars and go birdwatching. Bring a guide book with you so you can identify the birds you are seeing. Listen to their songs and enjoy them. Find a nice quiet place, put down a blanket and just watch for an hour to two. When there are not many birds around, take the time to kiss your partner, talk to them, or just relax in each other’s arms.
