This weekend, the Adult Entertainment Expo kicked off in Vegas, one of the biggest adult film industry events ever to sashay its scantily clad hips across the world stage. Among the festivities was the 2011 AVN Awards, the industry’s own Oscar-style extravaganza, taking place on Saturday at the Pearl Theater inside the Palms Casino Resort.

The show was hosted by comedienne Lisa Lampanelli—star of such ’80s porn masterpieces as Full Metal Jackoff and When Harry Met Sally and Fucked Her in the Ass—and adult stars Riley Steele and Tori Black helped out with the hosting. The show featured new awards categories, like Best 3D Release, and it wrapped up with Break.com’s spoof film Tron: Jeremy.

Performer of the Year Awards went to Tori Black and Evan Stone, and Vivid Entertainment’s Batman XXX: A Porn Parody won Best Renting & Selling Title of the Year and Best Comedy, with its performers picking up Best Supporting Actor and Actress categories.

This AVN Awards show was the first to give out recognition to not just adult films, but also Internet-based porn and adult novelties. Fleshlight’s Sex in a Can won Best Sex Toy for Men, with Je Joue’s G-Ki vibration snagging the coveted Best Sex Toy for Women spot.
