We're kinda confused by this one. There's a bill pending in the Massachusetts legislature that would put a ban on divorcing parents having sex. Though who they're banned from having sex with isn't clear to us, at the moment.
MyFoxBoston says couples would be barred from having sexual relationships within the home until the divorce is final. We think that might be common sense in a lot of cases, where the kids might be affected. But is it really something we want written in stone?
Another story says the divorcing couple would be banned from having sex with each other. Though we'll freely admit that angry sex can be awesome, we're kinda not getting the whole “I hate you. I hate being with you. I want a divorce. Let's have sex!” mindset. And we're shocked that there's such a problem with this kind of interaction between divorcees that MA needs a law to ban it.
The state's argument is they're trying to prevent domestic violence. And we're all for that. We're just not sure we're ready to slip back into the dark ages and again start allowing our government to regulate with whom, when and how we can have sex.

Confusing indeed! I'm not sure I understand how not having sex would diminish the potential for domestic violence..just seems pointlessly intrusive.
