Could you still love someone if they shot your face off? Connie Culp, the first woman in America to receive a face transplant, evidently can. Her husband, Thomas, was convicted of attempted aggravated murder and sentenced to seven years in prison; Connie got 80 percent of her face replaced by 8 surgeons in 2008 in a 22-hour operation. Thomas Culp claims the shooting was accidental. He was released from prison Sept. 19 after serving six years and four months. WTOV.com reported on Thomas' release date, noting that he would be on five years of supervised release and that Thomas had shot Connie “at close range in 2004 during a domestic dispute. Thomas Culp then turned the gun on himself. Both survived, but Connie Culp's face was ravaged.”
On a show about domestic violence last Thursday, Cooper asked Connie if she still had feelings for her husband—whom she did not divorce for nearly seven years. “Well, yeah,” she said. “He taught me everything I know. He taught me how to drive. I mean ... I had two kids to him.” She even joked that she was always good at bobbing and weaving— and then laughed, saying that she should have bobbed instead of weaved.
“But you shouldn't have to bob or weave,” Cooper replied. “A relationship is not bobbing or weaving.”

I'm sorry, but you seem to be making fun of a person here who was just trying to be honest. She never even said that she forgave him, she said she still had feelings for him which is different. People who are abused are abused by someone they love. They don't love the abuse, they want the abuse to stop. However, they still love the person because the person still does good things.
Sure that really did make a great headline, but you are seriously poking fun at someone who has probably been through enough.
