I don't think it can really be considered a corset if there's no boning. As for being part mesh.... no. Mesh cannot be a part of a corset, it's not strong enough to do what a corset needs to do, which is take 3-4 inches off your waist MINIMUM. I love corsets, but lingerie corsets always end up disappointing me.
It is sheer in the back and not the front? I think they photo shopped too much. The shorts are super cute.

Yea it could be cute! I kind of like it, but am really unsure. And by the way, whoever said "she doesn't have much of a butt. Who's Idea was this again?" A lot of women have smaller behinds than that. It is not that uncommon. :)

so much photoshop! this could've been really cute, but i do agree with below comments: one-size shorts is not a good idea, the sheer back is a total cop-out in design, and the corset is not cinching at all.

That is not cinching her even a little bit. If a corset looks rumply even on the model, there is hardly any chance it'll look good on anyone else.
