Sportsheets proudly advertises their "Soft Cuffs" as being made for beginners and aims for "keeping couples connected." These cuffs are perhaps the most basic, simple, non-intimidating, fluffy, and cute set of cuffs that one can buy. Experienced bondage players might scoff or chuckle at these cuffs, but they are absolutely perfect for couples who are newbies in bondage play or for those who incorporate bondage in their sex games to spice things up once in awhile.-
Design / Craftsmanship / Material / Size / Fit:
These are by no means the most well-designed or well-made cuffs on the planet. They're amateur, at best. The first thought that came to my mind when I first saw and wore these cuffs was that I could have easily made these myself. They're made of soft velvety fabric and strong nylon webbing, with an easy on easy off Velcro closures and quick clips that makes for safe, sturdy, and sensual play. They have a cheap look and feel, not the most aesthetically appealing, but this is a no-thrills, simple, and basic set of bondage cuffs: if that's what you are looking for, that's what you will get with these guys. They come in many colors: pink, red, purple, and black. The design and look of these cuffs are innocent and discreet and suitable for travel.
They work fine for what they're meant to do: to restrain the wrists (or ankles) firmly. The cuffs are soft and sturdy; writhing around in them won't loosen the cuffs. These cuffs are suitable for LIGHT bondage play. If you are looking or hoping for these cuffs to last for many rough and hardcore BDSM sessions, you'll be disappointed. They aren't constructed well enough for rough bondage play, only for light and gentle play. -
Performance:
My dom and I felt that these cuffs, although very simple and basic for our level of experience, were fun. He had no problem putting the cuffs on me by the wrists; I thought they felt very comfortable and they were sturdy. They worked very well for some suspension play in his closet or when I was tied up to the chair. When our session became more rough and hardcore, the cuffs started to loosen and weaken, so my dom had to take some time to re-adjust them tighter. My wrists never felt chafed or itchy during or after our session. Overall, we like these Soft Cuffs. Is it something to brag home about? Not necessarily. There are better cuffs out there that are about the same price as the Soft Cuffs, but if you are looking for a really basic pair of cuffs, these cuffs are for you.
Personally, I'm not a fan of Velcro style cuffs. Although they are easier and quicker to put on and to re-adjust, they tend to weaken and come apart. The longevity of these cuffs is questionable. I can't see them lasting for more than a couple of years, if used constantly. If used in moderation and for light bondage play, they could probably last for a long time. Being that the dom and I frequently play on a regular basis, we plan on using these cuffs strictly for light bondage play.- Special Features:

To take care of these cuffs, once in a while wipe them down with soap and water. Keep them in a dry cool place and store them in your toy box or in the drawer.
