I think this is neat as a person who likes medical play--I am thinking about getting some specula for both fun and self-examination. So I think I will hold off on this until some things change--it seems like this item needs an update. I hope that someone listens and improves this! Just an LED seems like it would be sufficient.

It doesn't use an LED??
This is a FUN toy that my wife and I bought probably twenty years ago, and then just bought another one. Problem is, it was UNCHANGED. While it "works" to do some neat "exploration", the thing REALLY could use a technological update. First, how about an LED, instead of a BULB that gets warm, flickers too fast and gives crappy "yellowish" light? Second, how about a NICE switch that is sealed from moisture? Third, how about a little POLISH to that insertion clear probe dome, so that the view is not distorted and there is no "GLUE" showing on the edges? (FIT AND FINISH could be FAR better). Fourth, how about a mirror that is high quality FOG PROOF glass, or plexy? Fifth, this is 2011, not 1975. There are all kinds of MULTI SPEED, MULTI FUNCTION vibrators that could be built into this thing (and are NOT). Come on, this toy would be SUPER, reborn as a HIGH QUALITY toy of fun and "exploration". Someone PLEASE update this thing for a crowd that wants QUALITY, FINISH and MODERN TECHNOLOGY and is willing to PAY to get it. There is NOTHING else like this toy. I love seeing my gals cervix TWITCH and SUCK for joy when making her cum with my tongue and this toy inside. You could even....if really doing it RIGHT, have a SUPER HIGH END version with a VIDEO CAMERA inside. In an age when micro video cams cost under $20 on eBay, it is NOT a huge technical jump to see how this could be done...right!
