Best use:

The Compact 3.3 can be used during solo or partner play. The vibrator requires 1 AA battery to operate (which is included). In the instruction manual that comes with the vibrator, it states that it “…is designed to stimulate a woman's clitoris and other external erogenous zones.” While this may be the main purpose of the toy, there are several other things you can use it for.

The slightly rounded head of the vibrator makes it an excellent tool for sensual body massage on either male or female. The head of the vibrator can be used on the neck, back, or shoulders to relax the muscles. The vibrator can also be used as a tool for foreplay by running the head of the vibrator gently across your partner’s body on the lower vibrating settings. The vibrator can also be used during oral sex, running the vibrating tip along your partner’s shaft and/or balls for extra stimulation.

The vibrator is designed for external usage, but the textured silicone tip could be used vaginally. The insertable length of the tip is just less than 2 inches in length, with a 3 ½ inch circumference. The vibrator should not be used anally as there is no flared base to the toy, making it very unsafe.

The Compact 3.3 is water resistant, and is safe to use in the shower. The vibrator would be an excellent choice for beginners, and would be appreciated by veteran toy users as well.

  • Material / Texture:

    The Compact 3.3’s tip is made of medical grade siliconeand is phthalate-free. The tip of the vibrator is soft, and has a velvety feeling to the touch. The tip has a subtle ribbed texture, with 8 ribs in total. The top of the silicone tip is slightly rounded, with no texture.

    The silicone material does have a bit of drag to it when running it across the skin. This can be avoided by using a water-based lubricant with the toy. Be sure to use water-based lubricants only with this toy during play.

    The lower half of the vibrator is the battery compartment. This part of the vibrator is made of plastic, with a coating on it making it feel velvety to the touch. The entire bottom half of the vibrator is smooth with no texture to it.

    While the tip of the Compact 3.3 does have texture to it, the ribs are not pronounced, making it a very subtle texture that beginners can feel comfortable with. There is also no flexibility to the toy.

    The design of the Midnight Collection Compact 3.3 is quite simple. The length of the toy is approximately 4 3/4 inches in its entirety. The battery compartment is 2 1/2 inches in length, the silicone tip is just over 1 3/4 inches, and the center section between the two is 1/2 an inch. The top of the vibrators tip has a 3 1/2 inch circumference and tapers to the bottom of the toy, ending with a circumference of approximately 1 3/4 inches.

    The battery compartment is located on the bottom of the vibrator, and is a twist and lock style compartment. There is an excellent diagram in the instruction manual that shows how the to insert/replace the battery in the compartment. The battery compartment will not close if it’s done improperly, but it’s quite simple to do.

    The toy is small-to-medium sized and not necessarily discreet. If the toy were left out on a table, there is chance that it would be recognized as a vibrator. The vibrator does come with a black, silky storage pouch, which keeps the contents of the pouch hidden. The toy would be fine to travel with since it can easily be stored in your luggage bag without taking up much room at all.

  • Functions / Performance / Controls:

    The Compact 3.3 requires 1x AA battery to operate (there is a battery included). There are 6 settings to the vibrator; 3 vibrating, and 3 pulsating. All of the settings are controlled with a single push button, which is located on the very bottom of the vibrator.

    To turn the vibrator on, you press the button once. The first setting is the lowest vibration speed. To turn the vibrator off, you can cycle through all 6 of the settings, or hold the push button down for a second or two. To cycle through the settings, a single press of the button will change the setting to the next one.

    The settings are as follows:

    Setting 1: lowest speed, constant vibration
    Setting 2: medium speed, constant vibration
    Setting 3: highest speed, constant vibration
    Setting 4: low vibration that gradually increases to high, pulsating
    Setting 5: fast, high vibrations, pulsating
    Setting 6: four quick, low vibrations followed by a long high vibration, pulsating

    The button that controls the settings is easy to push, but because of its location it’s unlikely that the button will be pressed by accident during usage. The vibrations can be felt throughout the entire toy, but the vibrations are most powerful in the silicone tip. When the toy is on the lowest vibration speed, it cannot be heard through a closed door. Though, as you increase the vibration intensity, the toy gets louder. On the highest vibration setting, the toy could be heard through a closed door.

  • Care and Maintenance:

    The silicone tip does attract hair and lint, so cleaning the toy before and after each use is recommended. Cleaning the toy is very simple and can be done with soap and water, a toy cleaner, or wipes. Rubbing alcohol can also be used to further clean your toy. This toy is not dishwasher safe, nor should it be boiled because it may destroy the vibrating mechanism.

    Once the toy is thoroughly washed, the toy can be dried off with a soft towel. After making sure the toy is completely dry, it should be placed in the storage bag that is included to keep it clean and protected.

    While rubbing alcohol can help sterilize the toy, the safest way to share a toy is covering it with a condom each and every time.

    The Compact 3.3 is packaged in a medium sized cardboard box. The box is a deep purple colour, with gold and white text. The front of the packaging states the brand name, product name, and a few of the product features. There is a cut out area on the front of the box that acts as a window to the product inside. The back of the packaging has the same information as the front, along with a product description, a few extra stated features, and the company’s website.

    Inside of the cardboard box, the vibrator is cased in a clear, plastic holder. Behind the plastic holder there is an instruction manual, a storage pouch, and 1 AA battery.



    The packaging is very appealing to the eye, but it is not discreet. The words “pleasure”, “Trojan”, and “vibration” are on both the front and back of the packaging. Since the toy comes with a silky, drawstring storage pouch, it is not necessary to keep the box for storage.

  • Personal comments:

    I really enjoyed using the Compact 3.3. I personally need strong, deep vibrations to get any pleasure from vibrating toys, and on the highest setting, I was satisfied. The medium and low vibration settings were strong considering the size of this toy, but not enough for me.

    I feel that this toy would be excellent for beginners because there is nothing intimidating about the product, and it provides a variety of vibration levels and pulsation settings so that the user can determine what they do, or do not, like for future purchases. The Compact 3.3 is excellent quality as well, which I think is important for any toy user, regardless of their experience level.

    It's very expensive, but if it can put out 4 Vrooms, I'd be happy with it. I'd be shocked though, only taking 1AA battery. - Undecided
