Like most CalEx toys I've encountered, this is made of silicone. It's firm, velvety and, unfortunately because of only a thin layer of silicone over the core, inflexible except the 'G' curve. Like most silicone, this doesn't have a taste and only a mild plastic like odor that goes away after a few uses.
This toy does have ribbing but like most toys made of softer materials, it's mainly for aesthetics and can barely be felt during usage.
All in all, this is just like any other CalEx toy I've encountered in terms of the way it feels.
The design of this toy is like most of the other G-spot vibrators CalEx has to offer, though this toy doesn't offer the girth that some others I have tried such as the Posh Teaser 1 does. While there can't be too much variety and innovation in the design, I did expect more of a difference besides the ribbing.
To me, at 1" the size is a bit small in diameter for a normal vibrator, but because I bruise easily when something pushes against my vaginal walls too hard, this is actually a bit better for something with a noticeable curve. Because of the size, this is great for beginners, but size queens would be very much disappointed.
I also noticed that this product was advertised as 'discreet,' however to me, though it's not the most obvious toy, it's still clear what this is used for.
Also like the Posh Teaser 1, this has 10 different functions, to be specific, the SAME 10 functions.
I do like that unlike the other CalEx toys I've tried, the power button isn't the same as the button to change the functions. Like the other toys, most of the vibrations are more towards the tip, but as this is a g-spot vibe, anything else would just defeat the purpose.
There is, however, a difference in the order of these functions, instead of the first three being a steady vibration from high to low, it's from low to high. The fifth function, the surge is actually a very weak burst function compared to all the other functions. The next is surge but with a longer uptime and medium strength. The seventh is a stronger version of the fifth. The eighth is alternating weak and medium bursts, the ninth is a string of steady vibration then a break cycle and the tenth is a pretty weak pulse.
Basically almost even amounts of each intensity: three strong, three medium, three weak and one weak/medium.
My favorites are the third (a strong steady vibration), seventh (a strong burst vibration) and ninth--basically the strong functions.
The noise level is slightly louder than I expected, but still quiet. My only qualm is that you hear the motors, so it sounds more mechanical than most vibrators do. This works pretty well underwater, nothing gets into the battery compartment and the water friction doesn't do much to decrease the intensity of this.
For a smaller toy, this uses AA batteries instead of AAA batteries which was a pleasant surprise as I have more AA's lying around compared to AAA's.
As silicone, this product is pretty simple to care for, just use water or oil based lubricant and clean it with water and soap or a toy cleaner and you're done. My only qualm is keeping it near other silicone toys, which is said to possibly fuse with it, not very probable but better safe than sorry.
I was very disappointed that this toy came in a flimsy plastic package unlike the other CalEx toys I've had which came in a nice recyclable cardboard box. This package was very easy to open, however, and I didn't risk damaging the packaging which I do like collecting.
The sides advertise that this toy is waterproof with 10 functions and a simple power button.
The back repeats the same information as well as advertises body safe silicone, a satin finished control panel and 'perfect size'(which I find completely subjective, but whatever) in different languages.
As you can also tell, this packaging is anything but discreet showing the product as well as blatantly giving the implication of what it's used for with its '10 intense functions.' In fact, the name itself suggests a not so innocent usage of this product.
