The Starlet is made of soft silicone with a hard plastic inner core. The hard core means this toy has no give which is good for getting good pressure on the G-spot. It has a wee bit of drag against the skin so a bit of water based lube will do the trick.
Silicone is non-porous and the toy had no smell or taste coming out of the box.
It also comes with a small, clear plastic base that you can use to stand your toy upright in for display, if you wish.
This line is full of fun looking toys. This one is no exception. It has a full length of 6.75 inches with 5.25 of that being insertable.
From the base of the battery compartment, there is a straight 3.25 in long by 1.25 inch wide shaft. This tapers in to a small, 0.75 in neck and then bulbs out again into the slightly angled head. The head has a flat, oval shaped surface that is 1 x 1.25 inches.
It is not overly big or bulky and can be easily tucked into a drawer or box without taking up much room at all.
This toy is operated by a single push button on its base. It has no locking feature, but holding down the button will turn it off rather quickly.
There are 2 steady speeds to the Starlet and 3 pattern modes. First click puts you right into steady high, second click is steady low, third click is slow pulse on high, next is a quicker pulse (still on high), and finally a super quick pulse (still on high). When you click it again, it goes back to the high, steady mode. To turn it off, hold down the button for about 3 seconds and it shuts off completely. It has no memory function so it will always start up on steady high.
The vibrations are a bit on the buzzy side but not enough to set you numb within minutes. The sound is loud enough that it can be heard from under a blanket so you will want to make sure the door is shut.
You can clean your new Toyfriend with warm water and anti-bacterial soap, toy cleaner, or with a 10% bleach solution. Because of its mechanical insides, it is not recommended that you boil this toy.
It can be stored along with your other silicone toys, or standing upright on a shelf in the plastic stand that it comes with if you choose to display your toys.
I am sort of on the fence with this one. The patterns are weird (starts on high), and it just does not seem to have enough oomph for good G-spotting for me. Maybe it is just not enough angle. It just doesn't seem to fit well. As an external, it was not too bad at all for when you are looking for broad vibrations. You cannot get pinpoint from it at all but it does work nonetheless.
