The battery cage and compartment lid are both made of a hard plastic, but the entire insertable length and the clitoral stimulator are made of thermoplastic rubber (TPR) which is phthalates free, hypo-allergenic, latex free, and ranks a 7 on Eden Fantasys' safety rating meter. The material is very smooth with a light drag that adds to the overall sensation. It is more firm in texture than more jelly material toys, and doesn't have that sticky feeling that Cyberskin tends to have, but does collect dust and lint in the way that most jelly and Cyberskin toys would. It also has a small amount of give which you won't find in a solid plastic, glass, or metal toy.
I personally did not need lube with this toy, but the addition of just a drop or two of lube did allow it to glide even more smoothly across my skin. The smooth texture and firmness of the material make this a great toy for all experience levels. I have had this toy for a while now, and I distinctly remember a light plastic-like manufactured odor coming from the product when I first received it. I washed it quickly with soap and water and have not experienced any other smells since then. The material has no taste and has held up very well over the six months that I have had it; showing little to no signs of wear.
Material safety: 7

Design is where this toy really takes the cake! When I heard this toy was bendable I expected it to bend an inch or two from the upright position at most. Upon receiving Bendy I was shocked just how flexible he really is! This toy can be bent pretty close to a 90 degree angle and will stay in that position for as long as you want. The insertable tip is also slightly curved and in combination with bending the shaft makes for excellent G-spot stimulation.
Then there is the clitoral attachment. Unlike most rabbit vibrators, this stimulator is one solid protruding point and not split down the middle. If you've ever had a problem with rabbit vibrators not hitting the right spot, buy this toy right now! The combination of bending the shaft to find the right angle and having a solid piece to work with, makes hitting your pleasure spot so much easier.
Another huge selling for point for this vibrator is its size. Noticeably smaller than your average rabbit vibrator, Bendy is a great size for those who are new to rabbit vibrators, or toys in general, but may fall a little short for size queens. From the base of the battery compartment to the curved tip is 8 1/2 inches long, 5 of which are insertable. The clitoral attachment is 2 inches in length, and the the shaft has a diameter of 1 3/8 inches which is plenty fulfilling for most users.
Length: 8 1/2"
Insertable length: 5"
Circumference: 4 1/2"
Diameter: 1 3/8"
Weight: 1 lb
If you like your toys discreet looking enough to keep in plane sight, this might not be the toy for you. While it is not a realistic toy, there is no confusion as to what it's used for. It is however small enough to easily take with you for travel, but probably not your best bet if you want something to keep in your purse every day.
The control button for this toy is simple. There is one white button at the very bottom of the battery compartment lid. Pressing once turns the toy on to the lowest speed, pressing again moves it up to the second speed, pressing once more turns the vibrations on high, and one final push turns everything back off. This one button system that seems to be standard on Evolved Novelty toys, is very convenient for changing speeds while in use, without having to worry about pushing the wrong button on accident. While I have occasionally pushed the button unintentionally during use, it is not a common occurrence or anything to be particularly worried about.
The shaft and clitoral stimulator both vibrate simultaneously, but have their own individual vibrating mechanisms. The clitoral attachment's vibrator is a bullet placed at the bottom of the attachment and extends a more than half way into the stimulator. You can clearly feel the vibration all the way through to the tip and is strong throughout. The shaft's vibrations are felt near the head of the vibrator and are strongest at the G-spot stimulating bump; losing a bit of power the further down the shaft you go. The vibrations are powerful enough to do the job, and pack a bigger punch than most standard slim-line vibrators and bullets, but will fall short if you are used to the powerful vibrations of a wand-style toy. The vibrations are definitely on the rumbly side and can be felt all the way to base of the toy; giving your hand a tingling sensation if used for an extended period of time on the highest setting.
Bendy is waterproof and passed my submersion test. After completely submerging for a full 30 minutes there were no leaks or changes in sound that I have found.
The battery compartment for this toy is the same as with all Evolved Novelty vibrators. There is a battery cage that holds 3 AAA batteries, and can be interchanged with all of your other Evolved toys; making switching quick and easy. This saves you from searching for more batteries, or having to pry batteries out of a tight compartment mid-session.
Overall this toy isn't exceptionally loud but on the highest setting it can make quite a bit of noise. The noise level is not enough to cause alarm and can be decently masked by a running shower or under the covers and behind a closed door.

I have had Bendy for many, many months now and have not noticed many signs of wear. While not as porous as cyberskin and some jelly toys, this material does have pores and needs to be cleaned after each use. Clean well with a mild soap under warm water or with your favorite toy cleaner after use. Always use a condom or toy cover if sharing since this toy can not be sterilized!
TPR works well with water- and silicone-based lubricants, although I found that no lubrication was needed for use with this toy.
The packaging this toy comes in works great for storing! I use this case to store multiple toys of safe material. I do not recommend storing this toy with others of a porous nature because of the possibility of transferring bacteria between toys. If you opt to not use the packaging as storage you will want to store this toy in something since the material is prone to collecting dust and hair.
Bendy comes packaged in a very convenient metal tin with a clear plastic lid. The lid is held on by two metal sliding clamps, something like a mix between a lunchbox and a clip board, and the tin has raised letting on the sides that say "Love is back" and the website for their company. It also features a tribal tattoo-like design and some basic safety information on the bottom. The lid has the Evolved Novelties logo, but otherwise is see through. This tin is probably just as cool as the toy and makes for excellent storage later.
Because of the clear plastic lid that clearly displays the toy underneath, it isn't the most discreet packaging in the world, but it would wrap very easily to give as a present. Did I mention the tin is awesome? I am really, really impressed by the packaging on this toy.
There were enough instructions included with the toy on inserting the batteries and how the toy functions, as well as information on Evolved Novelties line of toys, to meet my satisfaction; and their website was also pretty informative.
