The Smoking Pistol is made of TPE and has a soft, squish to it. I found the vibe had a slight odor when I remove it form the package, but I had a hard time discerning whether the vibrator was holding residual package smell or if it was the vibe itself (The package is plastic). The odor, I'm happy to report went away quickly and is no longer discernible. The Smoking Pistol is Latex and Phthalates free, but TPE is porous and if sharing is desired, condoms should be used.

On to texture, this is a highly textured vibrator! The texture is everywhere! I wouldn't recommend this vibe for beginners unless you know you like texture, it's pretty intense. Upon insertion I really enjoyed the raised texture of the TPE and I also like the texture for very slow thrusts, but faster thrusting was uncomfortable even with lot's of lube.

The design of this vibe is just gorgeous to look at, but as far as functionality goes I found it to be lacking. From end to end this vibe has beautiful details. The base, a light pink, has painted red swirls with a leaf design and opalescent rhinestones. The body is a pale pearlescent, translucent TPE. The raised details on the body include: Skull and crossbones, paisley swirls, beads, sea shells and crown details. Internally there four rows of rotating pearls that remain in place on tracks. The clit stimulator is a pirate pistol, the barrel's of the gun are a solid arm that reaches upward and vibrates in unison for clitoral stimulation.

The shaft has an insertable length of five inches with a 1 5/8" diameter. The total length is 9 3/4". The size is filling and may be too large for beginners. The shaft also offers a really great g-spot curve. The two main problems I had with this vibe were the clitoral stimulator and the shaft rotation, or lack there of, but I'll touch on that in the next section.

Operating the Smoking Pistol is simple. In the center of the controls there is a dedicated on and off button. The button to the right controls the vibration and the button to the left controls the shaft rotation. The rotation offers five speeds; low, medium and high as well as a slow rotating and faster rotating pulse. The vibration patterns are; low, medium and high constant vibration followed by three pulsing patterns. There is a slow pulse, a fast pulse, a triple pulse pattern and a roller coaster pattern.

The Smoking Pistol is moderately strong. I had no problems with the bead rotation and felt it held up well to clinching. I also had no problems with loss of power while the rotation and clit stimulator were both on. I did find the rotation range very minimal and the g-spot stimulation was just mild. My biggest issue though was the clit stimulator. It completely misses my clit and I found myself folding the barrel of the gun down upon itself just to make contact. That in turn meant the barrel didn't whip or vibrate in a flickering fashion. The strength of the vibration was lacking as well and when I could get contact it was nowhere strong enough to get me off.

This vibe runs on four AAA batteries and I like the fact it comes with a battery cradle for easy insertion. I also think it is exceptionally quiet for a rabbit vibe. The Smoking Pistol is also splash-proof and has the standard silicone gasket in the battery compartment.

The Smoking Pistol is easy to clean. Simply wash with water and antibacterial soap. As far as lube goes, water and silicone base are both fine.

The packaging was a basic plastic box with Pirate graphics. The Smoking Pistol does come with a pink and black satin storage bag... nice touch.

I really wanted to love this vibrator but sadly my anatomy refused my desires. I hope others have better luck with this beauty.
