The outer body of the Taurus is made of 100 percent silicone with a plastic battery compartment and plastic control knob on the bottom. It is hypoallergenic, phthalates free and latex-free. The silicone is soft and smooth with no visible seams. The grooved knob for the control is easily adjusted to increase or decrease speed and strength of vibrations. There was absolutely no odor whatsoever when I opened the box and that is always a major plus with me. The last third of the vibrator towards the tip is semi-flexible and can be ever so slightly bent but does not retain that position.
The color of the Taurus is one of the things that immediately caught my attention since so few sex toys are such a distinctive bright orange color. Its size is about 7 1/2 inches long overall with about 6 1/2 inches of that being insertable. It has a 1 1/2 inch diameter and without batteries weighs in at just under 10 ounces. The molded design is unique and when looked at from the side is slightly reminiscent of the head and horns of a bull for which it is named for. Its smaller size makes it easy for packing and traveling but its bright color will definitely grab attention.
Vibrations from the Taurus can easily be adjusted from a soft gentle hum to a rather intense deep rumble. Even with lubrication on it, the adjustment knob located at the base is so easy to turn due to the grooves in it. Two AA batteries are all it takes and they are so easily inserted, then screw the cap back on until you hear a click that tells you they are locked in place. The Taurus is not waterproof so do not use it in the shower or attempt to clean it by immersing it in water.
Being primarily silicone, the Taurus is easy to clean with a a mild soap and water being extra careful to not get water in the battery compartment and do not totally immerse the vibrator under water. Rinse well and dry with a soft cloth or allow to air dry. You may also wipe it down with an antibacterial toy wipe and even dip it into a boiling water or bleach solution but again, being careful to not get any into the battery compartment. Since silicone tends to attract and hold fuzz, hair and lint, I advise having a toy bag or container for your Taurus to prevent that almost magnetic attraction that silicone is known for. Do not use silicone personal lubricant with this toy as it is incompatible and may eventually damage your toy. A water based lubricant is best.
The Taurus would make a nice addition to most toy collections. It would also make a nice personal gift to anyone who is interested in astrology and is born under the sign of "The Bull".
