After opening the Seven Seas I was really impressed with the feel of this vibe. The exterior is ultra smooth and silky to the touch. Smell was not an issue and the design is really pretty. The Seven Seas is made of hard plastic, it's Phthalates free as well as non-porous. Due to this being a hard toy, partner play can be a bit dangerous. Poking of the cervix could become reality if your partner becomes a little too excited. It really is somewhat difficult to know exactly how a rigid item feels inside another person while wielding a toy. For that reason I really prefer this for solo use.
The Seven Seas is a wonderful size for beginners, it measures 8 1/4" in length and 1 1/4" in diameter, although it feels bigger in diameter when used vaginally. I'm not sure why, but I think it's due to this toy being so rigid.
The exterior is a really pretty hot pink plastic decorated with amber colored crystals around the base. The shaft is entirely covered with a painted design except for the last inch or so at the top. The painted design is very feminine and has lot's of gold scroll work, fuchsia and purple gemstones, pink skulls, purple skulls and last but not least, Pirate Sword's. I really do love the look of the shaft. The crystals on the other hand look super cheap to me.
This is a pretty rudimentary vibe, it doesn't have ton's of bells and whistles. The three speeds and two patterns are done well. Speaking of vibration, this vibe has a rumbling feel and a deeper frequency vibration.
The first three speeds are low, medium and high. I found low to be more powerful than most and high is pretty intense. There are only two pattern settings that follow the steady vibration, the first is a medium paced surge or pulsing pattern and the second is two short pulses followed by a long pulse. I found this vibe quite enjoyable for clit stimulation.
Operation is simple. At the base is a small push button that cycles through all five functions. I didn't have any difficulty with the location of the on/off switch. The downside to this vibe is the common problem of having to cycle through all vibration functions to turn it off. Upside is, the Seven Seas is splash-proof and has a silicone gasket at the base. I had no problems using this in the shower. The Seven Seas runs on two C batteries and I found it to be pretty darn quiet for the power it offers.
Because this toy is splash-proof and non-porous clean up is a breeze! You can wash it with antibacterial soap and water, wipe it down with a bleach-water solution, or wipe it down with Isopropyl alcohol. Water, silicone and oil based lubes are all fine with this product.
