The toy is advertised on the box as being made of unscented material. Right out of the box, it really did not have any odor at all. Some toys may have a plastic smell, but not this one. This mini vibrator is made out of silicone and is smooth and rigid. The tip does have a little give to it when inserting, but not very much. On the sides of the toy, towards the bottom, are two flames coming up that are just slightly raised. When the toy is inserted, you cannot feel this texture at all.
The design of this toy works well. It is a simple, but effective, design. It would work just as well without the flames on the sides of the toy. Due to the size of this toy (it's small enough to fit in the hand, as shown in picture), it is a toy for a beginner user or just a user who does not need or want deep penetration with a toy. This particular vibrator is easy to hide if you have roommates, and is very discreet. If you are traveling with it the batteries should be removed, as the dial is very sensitive and could easily be turned on inside a suitcase or bag. The shape of the toy is very smooth and not quite realistic, but it certainly takes care of business. More advanced users might find this toy to be too simple and not as powerful as they might like.
The company that makes this toy offers a 5 year guarantee on the material.
The vibrations for this toy are located more at the tip of the toy, at the end away from the batteries. This is good for clitoral stimulation. The vibrations go from a 0 to about a 3. This is not a jackhammer vibrator, but it does give some good, solid vibrations at the highest setting. The control dial is right above the batteries, and is moved by simply spinning the dial to the right or left. The dial is easy to control, but also easy to move higher or lower simply by bumping the dial.
This mini vibrator is surprisingly quiet. If someone were using it behind a closed door, you would not be able to hear it.
The Joystick is also waterproof. It performed really well in the shower, with no leaking into the battery compartment at all. With that being said, when inserting the batteries, the compartment must be shut very tightly or there is a risk of water getting into the battery chamber. Once again, this toy is so quiet that it could not be heard over the shower. This toy also takes AAA batteries instead of AA batteries.
This silicone vibrator should not be used with silicone lubricant. A silicone lubricant may damage this toy, and cause holes to form that make it impossible to sterilize the toy. Instead, a water based lubricant, like Astroglide, should be used to keep from damaging the toy. This toy comes with a small packet of lubricant, instructions, and a silver storage pouch pictured above. The storage pouch has plenty of room to hold the batteries to the side of the toy when traveling, and also tucks nicely into a box or drawer out of sight. The toy cleans up with hot water and soap, and is easy to care for.
