This plug is going to be best used by beginners. Its small stature makes it non-intimidating and its bright color makes it fun to look at. The soft silicone has a nice give to it and makes this the perfect toy to start experimenting with anal play.

If you're a more experienced user, the width of the base might be small enough to get lost inside of you. But if you're an experience user chances are you aren't using this for more than a quick warm up.

The Pleasure #1 is made from silicone, which makes it smooth and non-porous and free of all those other things you might not want inside your body. It is soft yet firm, capable of letting you know it's there without being uncomfortable. There was no distinguishable taste or smell that I could find.

The silicone has a nice velvety feeling to it and creates the slightest drag when running your fingers across it. Adding some lube will remove the drag. There's no real texture aside from being soft and velvety. I would say this toy has a medium density to it. There really is a lot of give and I was able to bend mind completely in half, but it's still firm enough to do its job without a huge amount of effort.

I received the 'red' one, which is really much more of a sweet orange. It's got a metallic marble swirl which gives this otherwise very simple toy a nice touch of something extra.

The design of the Pleasure #1 is very simple, and this is why it excels. It has no extra bells or whistles, it's just a small taper with a neck and a base.

It has a total length of 4 1/2" with an insertable length of 3 3/4". The very tip of this toy, the part that starts going inside of you, has a circumference of 2". The 'shaft' of the toy extends down about 2 3/4" before it hits the neck. It's at its widest at this point with a circumference of just 3". The 'neck' of the toy has a 2 1/2" circumference, giving your anus the feeling of a small stretch. The base is somewhat rectangular in shape and is just under 2 1/2" in length, 1 1/4" in width, and about 1/2" thick.

The shape of the base can either end up sitting between your cheeks and being fairly unnoticeable or become fairly uncomfortable. I found it to be uncomfortable for sitting or long term wear, but for short term use in the shower and such I didn't have a problem.

I haven't personally used it this way yet, but the base is also compatible with a harness with a 1 1/2" O-ring. However the length of the toy probably won't provide much stimulation unless you are just looking for short and shallow thrusts.

This was my first anal toy and I was quite happy with it. It slid in easily and I had no real problems with getting it to stay in during short term use. I haven't been able to work myself up to more long term use yet.

I have used this once or twice during vaginal sex and I have mixed feelings on how it went. It felt, interesting, but it was easy for him to play with it while we were going at it.

The silicone this toy is made of also provides you with the ability to do some light experimentation with temperature play. It will retain heat well, and I haven't experimented with it retaining cool. You can simply place your toy in a bowl of warm (not hot) water to warm it up and experience a different sensation.

Care and maintenance is fairly simple.

#1 for keeping your #1 in tip top shape is to only use water based lubes. The properties of a silicone based lube that keep it liquidy can bond with the silicone in your toy and make it do the same thing.

This being made of silicone gives you a wide variety of options for cleaning. You can stick with your washing with warm water and soap, or using a toy cleaner. Or you can take it a step further and stick it on the top rack of your dishwasher (no soap), or by tossing it in a pot of boiling water for 3 minutes. None of these options will fully sanitize it, but it will definitely be clean.

For storage please keep your plug in something. Being made of silicone it likes to attract lots of dust and other small particles. Personally I keep mine in the bag it came in and that's been working well so far. Otherwise I recommend a ziploc bag.

The packaging was really boring. Just a plain plastic bag with a cardboard top. There were real instructions that I can remember on the packaging. You can use the initial plastic bag as storage.

If you reach a point with this toy where it feels like it's just not doing as much for you anymore and you'd like to try something a little bit bigger, there is a #2 that you can move up to.

I had never done anything anally prior to this toy and I was pretty nervous about it. But I brought it into the shower with an anal lube and found an awkward position where the water from the shower head wasn't just washing away all my lube and started playing. I didn't hate it. The small stature of this toy was a godsend for me. While I didn't necessarily find it pleasurable, I didn't find it uncomfortable either. This says a lot from me considering I'm still not sure I'm one for anal play.

I did ask my fiance to put it in me one night while we were having sex. That wasn't horrible either. It was late and hurried and we were in the missionary position, which didn't seem to work the greatest, but we haven't been able to experiment with other positions yet.

Overall I was very pleased with this toy, especially since I'm still not sure how much I like anal play. But nothing about this toy turned me off to the practice, which I give the company lots of credit for.
