Use

The SO can be used for both solo and couples play. This is the perfect dildo for people who like contrast in their toy sizes. While some of us find the larger end intimidating, size queens will definitely love that enormous head. The double-headed SO is ideal for those who are currently using average size dildos, and are daring themselves to try bulkier toys.

Although this toy was listed as a double-ended dildo on the product page, it is not the type shared by two people at the same time. The SO’s double-headed design simply enables the user to choose between two heads that are different in size and texture.

The SO was conceived as a vaginal dildo designated for women, but due to its “S” shaped design, it is also suitable for anal lovers.

Besides its role as an internal toy, the heavy and bulbous larger end works wonders as an external massager. With the aid of your body’s natural fluid, or a water-based lubricant, you can use the larger head as a great warm-up toy by rubbing it on your clitoris, labia, and vaginal opening.

Material / Texture

The entire SO dildo is made of high grade 100% silicone in a matte finish. Silicone earns a perfect 10 rating on Eden’s safety scale. It is waterproof, hypoallergenic, nonporous, latex and phthalates free. The SO’s silicone is pliable and squishy. It is smooth to the touch, but causes a lot of drag during use. To take care of the drag problem, you can apply water-based lubricant on the dildo. Unlike some other silicone toys, the SO is not a lint magnet; I left it on a pile of my cotton underwear for a few days, only minuscule amount of lint and dust were visible. The odorless SO’s silicone did not pick up any scent from the antibacterial soap I washed it with.

Design / Shape / Size

The SO dildo is one of the newest products presented by the Marc Dorcel Company from France. The “S” shaped double-ended SO dildo has a striking resemblance to Njoy’s Eleven, but the similarity ends there. Unlike the rigid stainless steel Eleven, the flexible SO is made of 100% silicone. It is shorter in length, has lesser girth all over, and has one less ridge on the narrower section of the shaft (or handle) than the Eleven. Another difference is the weight, the SO weighs 1 lb., while the Eleven is a whopping 3 ½ lbs.

Despite the fact that Dorcel markets the SO as a G-spot dildo for ladies, and only sells it in Fuchsia color, the toy’s design is safe and ideal for anal play. A conical bulb joins each end of the elongated “S” shaft with a nice curvature, perfectly angled for the G or P-spot. The two heads vary in size and they do not look realistic, but they still remind me of phallic heads. The larger head with a delicately raised crest around its underside is 1 ½ inches larger than the smaller one in circumference. The section of the handle connected to the larger head is thicker than the part linked to the smaller head. There are two slightly raised ridges on the shaft close to the smaller end, one of the ridges is more prominent and protrudes on three sides. There is a seam running through the middle section of the toy, but it is not noticeable during use. Even though the SO is marketed by a French company, its production is done in China.

Instead of showing a size chart, I have added all the SO’s actual measurements to the following picture.

In the measurements picture, the Eleven's smaller head and the SO's larger head are the same in diameter; but the circumference is bigger on the SO's larger head, because of the raised crest on its underside.

Performance

If the following problems were nonexistent, the beautiful and eye-catching SO would be the perfect double-ended dildo.

The SO dildo's silicone is too flexible. Flexibility is mainly located on the thinner section of the shaft. My hand was tired after maneuvering the dildo for five minutes, controlling the toy by grabbing that thin and flexible handle is a pain.

The smaller head is only 4 ½ inches in circumference, and it is a bit undersized for me; I like G-spot heads that give me a “full” feeling. In order to feel the effectiveness of the small head, I needed to rub the toy against my G-spot by holding the shaft in an upright position. The two ridges close to the smaller head can only be felt, if I thrust the dildo downwards at a 45 degrees angle; while it was refreshing for my clitoris to enjoy the stimulation, my G-spot was left in the cold. I have tried direct thrusting with the smaller end, all I felt was some light stimulation, not enough to bring me to orgasm.

The larger head is prominent and much bigger than expected. The measurements provided by Dorcel on Eden’s product page were not very specific, it only showed a circumference of 4 ½ inches and diameter of 1 ½ inches, and did not mention whether those were measurements for the larger or smaller head. After careful measuring on my part, the width of the larger end actually measures 6 inches in circumference and 1 ¾ inches in diameter, the same size as the Eleven’s smaller end. Even though 1 ¾ inches in diameter is a bit too much girth for me, it is still possible for me to enjoy the smaller head of the Eleven, because stainless steel is extremely smooth and glides easily over everything. Having the same width on the SO’s silicone head is a completely different matter, the drag created by the silicone material, along with the raised crest on its underside, turned playtime into an uneasy task. Even with plenty of water-based lubricant, I still had a hard time inserting the large head. After spending five minutes of twisting and turning, I finally managed to fit the large head inside. Then came the exhausting part, I had to thrust with the flexible part of the shaft, and it took me another ten minutes to reach orgasm. My poor hand had never experienced such fatigue before! The only way to avoid such tiredness was to let my husband do the work. Since the SO’s large silicone head caused so much drag, I had to constantly remind him to go easy on me, and that took away some of the fun for us.

Due to the above facts, I can only rate the SO dildo three stars.
    • Size too large
    • Too flexible
    • Too much drag

Care and Maintenance

The silicone SO dildo can be easily cleaned with antibacterial soap and warm water. You can also wash it on the top rack of your dishwasher. Toy cleaners that are not alcohol, acetone, or petrol based, are safe to use on the SO. You can sterilize the dildo in boiling water for 3 minutes; or wipe the dildo with a 1:10 bleach solution. Sterilization is necessary if you are sharing the SO, or using it for both anal and vaginal play. Please ensure the toy is completely dry before you return it to storage, because bacteria thrive in moist environments. Since there is always a chance for different brands of silicone toys to react with each other, it is best to separate your toys by storing them in zip lock bags or lint-free toy pouches.

Packaging

The SO came in a not-so-discreet cardboard box. It has a front cut out window displaying the large fuchsia colored dildo. A brief introduction of the dildo was printed on the backside of the box, presented in six different languages. An identical and artistically taken picture of a bare-breasted woman was shown on both sides of the sleek-looking box. There were only two items inside the box; the dildo encased in a clear plastic base, and a simple user manual. Unlike some other brands, no storage pouch was included in the package. The box is not flimsy, but it is not ideal to use as a long-term storage for the toy.

Follow-up commentary
I have only used the SO dildo once after my review, and I still feel so-so about this toy. Unlike my favorite, the Eleven, I will probably never touch this look-alike again.
