Imagine if everything you looked at on your computer at work today was, unbeknownst to you, being broadcast on a huge LED screen at your town’s busiest intersection. If you’re horrified to think that everyone would see the porn you were watching, you’ll feel a lot of compassion for the “lonely office worker” in the Oubei Town area in the city of Wenzhou, China, who didn’t know his work computer was hooked up to a billboard-sized screen outside and ended up playing a pornographic video at that busy intersection for ten minutes, reports the Shanghaiist. The billboard usually advertises cars.

If that happened in America, people’s heads would explode like something out of Scanners. Porn is illegal in China but interestingly, instead of raising hell, a crowd (which included no kids) gathered, had a laugh and recorded the evidence on their cell phones for, uhh, later research, the Shanghaiist joked. The police took an hour to get there, which sounds pretty relaxed, and strangely didn’t charge him with possession of pornography, but with disturbing the peace, because it can’t be proved he gave the city a free show.

Come to think of it, for a guy, ten minutes sounds about right.
