On June 3rd, a self-styled porn star who goes by the name of Kimberly Kupps and her husband were arrested and charged with 13 counts of obscenity for allegedly distributing porn over the Internet. They're based in Polk County, Fla., and specialized in the big-boob genre. And by all accounts, their videos were in line with what's considered “mainstream,” nothing that could be considered “over the top.” Unfortunately, we can't corroborate this claim because the couple's computers and media were seized.

The investigation began three months ago when a deputy from the Polk County Sheriff’s Department signed up for an account on KimberlyKupps.com, paid $19.95 to join and found—gasp!—porn! No way! On a porn site?

So the deputy downloaded six of the videos and (after thoroughly polishing the knob, we're sure) brought them to Judge Reinaldo Ojeda, who decided the videos were obscene material and signed the arrest warrant.

The couples' real names are Theresa and Warren Taylor. Theresa Taylor was released on $7,500 bail, but according to latest reports her husband is still in jail.

Theresa Taylor has hired adult industry attorney Lawrence G. Walters to represent her.

“We intend to vigorously defend Ms. Kupps in this case, which appears to be the latest in a decades-long effort by this sheriff to violate the 1st Amendment rights of erotic content publishers,” Walters told XBIZ. “I’ve been involved in many of these obscenity cases over the years, so I hope my experience in this particular jurisdiction will be beneficial to the defense.”
