The Freedom of Masks...

When the subject of masks comes up, what do you think of? Halloween, theater, disguises or other common uses would be the popular answers. My answer: freedom. My masks allow me to experiment with my exhibitionist side, without the worry of being recognized. They also allow my inhibitions to take a back seat to having fun and experimenting with my sexual persona. My mask hides my identity and allows me to be free...

There are many reasons I do not want to be recognized. I do not want my friends and family to know certain aspects of my sexual escapades. I do not want any of the people in my small town to recognize me from a sexual site on the internet. My husband and I want to keep our sex life private, but also want to have fun with the new and fun ideas we have come up with in our experimenting and adventures.

A mask was the perfect solution for easing our fears about me being recognized and allowed us to try out our new ideas. We found out during some of our fantasy discussions that not only were we both interested in watching, but in possibly being watched. Since we are both fairly shy, new to the voyeur/exhibitionist idea and agree that involving other people directly in our sexual life is not a good idea--we had to get creative.

How can we experiment with and enjoy our newly discovered sexual proclivities? Stay within our boundaries of being with only each other, but still able to let go and have fun? Well--that was a bit harder to figure out than the solution of wearing a mask. Eventually we found a site that was completely free to join and was for amateur cam models. We agreed that this might be our answer, but the one major rule we have is it can only be done as a couple. I am the one on the cam, but he is there adding stimulation and fun to the session. Add a mask, turn on the web cam and meet the exhibitionist in me!

My husband had fun with the idea of watching and being watched and I had fun letting my inhibitions go and just having a great time. Imagine my surprise when the tips rolled in on a site where you can watch the whole show for free!! That was an added little perk, we decided to save the tips and use them for a fun weekend getaway when we have enough.

I found out the mask can get a bit uncomfortable, but there were also hidden benefits! The mask made me secure in my anonymity, hiding most of my face and making it unidentifiable. The confidence from being hidden behind the mask also allows me to be free to act on my thoughts and desires. I am able to relax, have fun and play with my toys without worry. My inhibitions are quieted and my self-confidence took a big rise. My mask has given me freedom.

This has also carried over to our sexual play as a couple. We were both self-conscious when we tried a bit of role-play, but when wearing masks, we were able to overlook the doubts and 'silliness' of being adults in a pretend situation. The masks allowed us the bit of security to act out our wishes and to try a few new ideas. It is easy to develop a new persona when hiding behind a mask.

Our new signal for trying something new is adding the mask, which we now look forward to. There are few things we are uncomfortable sharing, but when we discover one, the solution is right there with a bit of plastic and a rubber band. Silly? Maybe, effective--definitely. Masks have added to our sexual self-confidence and allow us to communicate more effectively when suggesting new ideas.

We did figure out that they do not help during an argument or serious discussion outside the bedroom. After enjoying the freedom to express our sexual identities while wearing a mask, we tried this when we were not secure in our opinions outside the bedroom. Not a good idea!! It does add a funny but irritating aspect to an argument, though. Honestly, try to fight with a person when you cannot see their facial expressions....you get so much more frustrated!!

Our masks are now delegated to the bedroom only, and have proven themselves to be highly effective for freedom of sexual expression. Now that Halloween is on the way, I am very much looking forward to getting a few new masks. You never know what these will bring out of hiding!! And next time we talk fantasies......
