Seriously…if you wanted a dominatrix at night you could do way worse than someone who punishes bad boys and girls all day long.

New York prosecutor Alisha Smith, 36, has been removed from her duties by the state Attorney General’s office pending an investigation after the New York Post inquired into her after-work activities which, the Post says, includes being a dominatrix. The unpaid leave has less to do with the alleged kinks in her private life than the money she might have made from them. According to the Post, a standing executive order with the AG’s office says that employees have to clear any activities that might earn them more than $1,000 with the Employment Conduct Committee.

The Post notes some Twitter activity between Smith’s Twitter screen name Alisha Spark (sorry—the page no longer exists) and “well-known dominatrix Jade Vixen.” If they weren’t paid gigs (because a dom should know better than to break the rules) then hopefully she won’t end up being punished for her private life.

Actually, after this gets out, who knows? Might a lot of submissives not want someone with the experience of a prosecutor to enhance their scenario? Maybe we’re romanticizing, but it seems like perhaps she’d make more scratch as a professional dom than as a $78k(+) a year public servant?
