"Screw you; I'm giving you a facial!"
The Elusive Squirt
Dousing men in a dose of their own medicine comes easily (no pun intended) to porn star Tiana Lynn, yet she didn't always feel so comfortable about it. While promoting her own squirting videos, Lynn told an interviewer that her ejaculation capabilities were once a source of awkwardness.
"I was always really embarrassed to orgasm because I left really big wet spots," Lynn said. "Guys would always be like, 'That's not me.'"
Embarrassed no more, Lynn is part of one of the sex industry's major sellers: Squirting videos.
Yet some would consider Lynn's testimony at the promotional event just that - a promotion - and that the phenomenon is nothing more than a kinky urban legend. And for anyone who has stumbled upon (i.e. Googled) a squirting website, questions of physical possibility definitely arise -- some of the women, quite frankly, look like upside-down fountains. Has that been Photoshopped?, you might wonder. Is there a hose hidden somewhere? Is that pee?! Despite porn professionals’ utilization of theatrical tricks, female ejaculation, in itself, is just as real as the G-spot.
And for many, just as elusive.
The colloquial title of "squirter" is reserved for females who can shoot orgasmic fluids from their vagina. That's right, shoot - as in, with a kinetic force behind it. This is not just excess oozing (as is more commonly recognized in females during sexual stimulation) and it's not urine.
While some women claim they cannot help but ejaculate while on the edge of orgasm, others require a special touch, whether facilitated by a patient and persistent partner or a trusty toy. Participating in the human squirt gun fight, like any recreational sexual activity, takes some preparation - mental as well as physical - yet the reward for finding the female trigger is definitely, well, juicy.
Restrain your eagerness, however -- it takes slightly more finesse to make a woman ejaculate than it does a man (no offense, guys, but most of you could get off using a hole in the wall). For a lady, you have to play up the foreplay. Not only will this make the woman more inclined to have an orgasmic expulsion, but it will greatly improve the success of the partner's next task: finding the G-spot.
Most effectively explored with fingers, the intense pleasure area known as the G-spot is a slightly rough, spongy tissue located about two inches deep inside the vagina. With the woman on her back, the G-spot seeker can find the squirting trigger by sliding a finger about as far as it will go, then hooking the fingertip in a seductive "come hither" position. (Helpful hint: while long fingers are sexy, don't grow out your fingernails to add more length. Ouch.)
Like other erogenous zones, the G-spot will become engorged and harden with stimulation, but unlike the delicately sensitive clitoris, the G-spot requires a more assertive tapping motion to be stimulated. Gently pushing the public bone (below the belly button, near the pubic mound) can advance the sensations. Patience is key, but the payoff is worth the wait.
Just because the prospective squirter is on her back doesn't mean she doesn't have to do any work. While the vaginal voyager feels for the G, the woman can help out by using her PCs. True, the pubococcygeus (PC) pelvic muscles control urination, but they can be so much sexier than that. Just as men can move their penis when it is erect by flexing their PC muscles, women can contract their pelvic muscles to enhance an orgasm. Strong PCs make that orgasm go the distance - literally - since the woman pushes these muscles out in order to squirt while her G-spot (or clitoris, in some women) is fondled.
Kegel exercises (clenching, holding and unclenching the PC muscles) will improve your sexual athleticism. Just as body builders use weights to strengthen their muscles, aspiring squirters can build PCs of steel by using a variety of exercise products. Ben wa balls are discrete way to strengthen the PCs; just insert the weighted marbles and squeeze the pelvic muscles to keep them inside. For those with already buff Kegels, other gadgets such as the Classic take a little more strength; it weighs a pound.
Confidence in one's PCs is especially for combating the psychological obstacle: mistaking "I'm going to come" sensations with "I've gotta go" ones.
While rubbing the G-spot, the partner is exhilarated by the anticipation; unfortunately, the soon-to-be squirter is probably thinking she's about to wet the bed. The following scenario ensues: the woman begs for her partner to stop; the couple concludes that only select females have the ability to ejaculate or that squirting is a clever cover-up for incontinence.
Anatomy of a Squirt
The anatomy of squirters is the same as skeptics', however. For many, the inability to propel love juices is vastly psychological. The good news for the mentally-inhibited female is that urinating when aroused is considered a medical improbability. If that's not convincing enough, a quick bathroom break can ensure an empty bladder. Otherwise, if you're worried about your mattress, there are always plastic sheets.
For those suspicious that female ejaculate is glorified pee, the composition of feminine squirtage, if you will, is chemically similar to that of semen (but without the sperm). Furthermore, the pearlescent or colorless, odorless, tasteless fluid is quite unlike urine. For the scientific types, female ejaculate is produced in the Skene's gland, which is located in the urethra, which is the gateway to the bladder (hence the similarities between sensations of impending orgasm and impending urination). The fluid can expel in quantities ranging from teaspoons to a full cup, so have a towel handy. Or reconsider those plastic sheets.
For women who want to squirt in private, certain toys can facilitate the forward-moving fluid. G-spot-specific vibrators have a curved tip great for hitting the G-spot. The Rock-chick massager will not only rouse the G-spot, but inserting a vibrating bullet into the other end will stimulate the clitoris. Other dildos such as the Bliss will bounce against the G-spot with every bump.
While sex is different for every woman, so is squirting. If you're open to a little experimenting and have the patience to practice technique, your female ejaculation experience does not have to be confined to your secret video viewing. In no time, you can be giving (or initiating) facials just as often as Tiana Lynn.
