The young woman in question does not know how to break the news to her family. She's afraid of not being taken seriously, or worse, judged in a negative light for her choices.

There are many reasons we date whom we date, love whom we love... and fuck whom we fuck. Some are healthy. Some are not.

If you are making choices based on mutual respect and desire, it's a great place to start for any relationship. May/December romances do have their own peculiar set of circumstances that must be considered, but as usual, Nina's advice is right on the mark.
