Inside the container are orangish, coarse granules. They are obviously individual granules, but they clump together nicely. They spread easily on the body. It's best to do this in the tub so any stray pieces don't end up all over the bathroom floor. They feel very nice on the skin. The scrub massages in easily and stays in place until ready to be rinsed off.
Afterwards you will be amazed at the smooth texture of your own skin.
Imagine peeling a fresh juicy orange. Can you smell the aroma? That is how this scrub smells. It's fresh and tantalizing without any fake chemical odor whatsoever. The aroma fills the room when the jar is opened. You may be tempted to keep the lid off so you can enjoy the orange fragrance all the time.
The delicious orange scent is massaged into the skin. The scent remains for an hour or two after rinsing off the scrub. It's light and refreshing and may remind you to caress your soft skin. You may also want to eat a slice of a real orange afterwards; just don't eat this.
This scrub performs magnificently. Any dry flaky skin is removed easily. The skin is soft and supple and perfectly hydrated. With continual use this could restore or maintain skin at very healthy levels.
The 21 oz. jar is larger than I expected it to be. It's too large to fit on my tub shelf. I have to be careful when using it in the shower because I don't have anywhere to set it down, and I don't want it to spill. I transfer enough for one use to a smaller container that fits on my shower shelf. There's no chance of accidents that way.
The jar itself is sturdy plastic, so there is no chance of it breaking. The lid screws on and off. It arrived with a protective layer of plastic on top.
The label is a pretty peach color. It would look fine displayed on a counter top, or it could be stored out of sight. You'll want to have easy access though. You'll be reaching for this often.
I love, love, love this stuff. I tend to have very dry elbows. In the winter if I don't moisturize at least twice a day, they become rough enough to catch on clothing and become very uncomfortable. I think my search for the cure to my dry elbows is over. In just a week of use, both my elbows are smooth and nearly perfect. I imagine in a month I will have elbows as smooth as a baby's bum: If you ever saw my elbows, you would know that's a miracle.
