extremely useful review
If you love pampering yourself with the luxuries of the spa, but you have difficultly finding time or money to escape to one, introduce yourself to Cake Beauty's Desserted Island Brown Sugar Scrub!

This sugar scrub is an exfoliant for your body. Exfoliation is the process of removing dead skin cells and resurfacing your skin while adding moisture. It can unclog pores and is also great as a "prep" for a self-tanner. There are many exfoliants on the market today, but CAKE takes the CAKE!

Scent:
The brown sugar scrub is available in two scents, Desserted Island (coconut/vanilla/brown sugar scented) and It's a Slice (orange/brown sugar scented.) This review is targeting only the Desserted Island scent. Although I bought this item in the winter, I was pleasantly pleased with the tropical smell that filled my bathroom! I get a large whiff of the brown sugar, and a confectionery coconut smell that is not too faint, but just right. It is not at all overbearing, but a scent I can imagine the majority of people enjoying.

When opening this huge 21oz tub of goodness, you are assured that your product is fresh because of the seal on the tub. This is designed to keep in the moisture of the product, as it contains oil. (I would recommend ONLY getting either 3 day shipping or overnight shipping with this product, because it has potential to leak in the mail of the seal gets jostled and breaks). The product is filled to almost the brim with medium sized sugar crystals that are soaked in a lovely concoction of different oils. The product contains:
Turbinado (Sugar), Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) seed oil, Cocos nucifera (Coconut) oil, Olea europaea (Olive) fruit oil, Theo broma cacao (Cocoa) butter, Phenoxyethanol (and) Caprylyl Glycol (and) Sorbic Acid, Fragrance (Parfum), BHT.
Sensitive skins may rejoice, because this feels natural and high quality. The crystals are medium sized, fairly large for sugar granules, but they will not damage the surface of the skin if proper methods are used. I do not scrub one area of my body for more than 7 seconds with these crystals.

Use:
Your bathtub is now filled and waiting for you to step in and relax! Enter: your new brown sugar scrub. Simply take as much product as you desire, and onto wet skin, rub in circular motions moderately firmly. The sugar will melt into your skin and water, and the oils will be felt almost immediately on your skin! It rejuvenates and adds a dewy look once you step out of the bath or shower. Exfoliation is commonly recommended by dermatologists for only once a week use.

This brown sugar scrub would be the perfect gift to any woman who enjoys pampering herself. It is appropriate to gift straight out of your box from Eden as it contains nothing sexual on the packaging. I recommend it for new mothers, brides to be, teens, beauty lovers, or just yourself! Your skin is the largest organ of your body, so be good to yours!
Follow-up commentary
I'm so upset to see this discontinued. I cannot find Cake beauty in my area and I wasn't expecting EF to stop selling it! :( After using it every other day every week, I still find that it keeps my skin radiant and smooth. I get that "glow" when using this scrub. It's too bad that it's off the site now.
