I had the same feeling about the strap, it was much too big for me as well. It smells very plasticy and slightly funny at first, but it goes away. Very, very comfortable, and slightly stretchy toward beginners! The ball is quite soft to the mouth.

Good quality for the price. Like the previous reviewer, I had to add a few extra holes to allow it to be fastened snugly. It looks fabulous, and the holes in the ball make it less intimidating and safer for beginners. The leather strap running through the ball has a bit of stretch to it, and is soft enough to be comfortable against the mouth.

Reasonable Quality for the price. Had to make new holes in strap to allow it to be pulled tight.
