Best use:
I love the sting that this crop delivers, and so does my partner. He and I were much more impressed with this one than the last crop we'd tried. I feel this is wonderful for beginners, as it is short and non-threatening, but it held up no matter how much I played with it. The wider head (the traditional crop shape) was excellent for gentle CBT as it spread out the blow. The wider head was also able to support the weight of his balls for more teasing play. The leather was firm enough to deliver a solid blow, yet flexible enough to tease. All three heads delivered unique blows. More so than I thought they would, since they're just a variant on a theme. More on this later.-
Design / Craftsmanship / Size / Material / Features:
I loved how this toy was made. The interchangeable heads mean this crop doesn't get old quick. As soon as my sub gets used to one sensation, I can quickly and easily change out the heads and start over with something he is completely unprepared for. The rubber handle provides wonderful and comfortable grip for long term play. Since the heads are real leather, they do give off a faint smell, but this is in no way over powering and unpleasant. Then again, I walk into leather stores just to take a deep whiff of that wonderful scent, so I'm a bit biased. The strap on the handle is excellent for helping to keep your grip, and it provides an extra bit of leverage. I would have preferred it to be a bit longer, though, since I tend to hold my crop toward the center of the handle, and it does cut into the wrist a little bit with extended play. The heads change out easily and quickly, but through some miracle (or voodoo magic whichever you prefer), they stay perfectly in place while actually playing with them. Over all, I think this toy is well made and will hold up to extended use quite well.

Performance:
I can not say enough good things about this crop system! I loved it, my partner loved it, his butt didn't love it the next morning, but I take that as the sign of a toy well used. No single smack had enough force to create a red mark, and it did take a few thwacks before my partner felt the sting, but once he did, it just kept building. The traditional crop head had the most bend to it, and that's what we warmed up with. The hand and the heart are a bit stronger, with the hand providing the most intense sensation due to it being the thickest and having the smallest surface area. By the end of the night, there were a couple tiny hand shaped welts on my partner's butt, and I was doing a dance of glee. This crop is long enough to provide enough momentum to get a solid smack in, but not so long as to be hard to control. I found it to be the perfect length. I even found the small pop the heads make when they're pulled out of the shaft to switch them utterly charming. After about 10 minutes, my sub found them utterly terrifying, which is just another thing to love, in my view.

Care and Maintenance:
This is a very low maintenance toy. The heads come off for storage, which makes the actual shaft of the crop fit in a standard dresser drawer, and the heads are small enough to fit in a sandwich bag to keep them all together. A simple wipe down with a damp sponge cleans it just fine if you manage to get it dirty.
