Best use:

The Minx leather harness is a double-strap harness that sits around the hips for use for pegging, gender play, role reversal, or female-bodied individuals. This is best used for people who know that they love wearing harnesses and who are willing to put their money in an investment that's expensive, beautiful, and comfortable. I personally wouldn't say that a couple who is new to using harnesses should buy it, since it is more than $150, but couples who are experienced with harness use would definitely enjoy putting their funds into this luxurious harness.

  • Material:

    The harness is made of a soft, smooth, flexible leather. It's this beautiful shade of burgundy that's just to die for, and it has this strong leather scent that's mm-mm good. Against the skin, this harness is one of the most comfortable harnesses I've ever put on (let's exclude my Joque, since that's superior to everything). The leather is exquisite, so very soft and luxurious. It isn't a thick leather, so it's fairly thin and flexible as opposed to firm and hard.

  • Design / Craftsmanship:

    Aslan Leather's Minx harness is a double-strap, corset-back harness. Its hip straps close by easy-to-adjust buckles (the straps each have twelve holes spaced 1/2" apart) and the corseting ties with a leather string. Since it's a double-strap harness, its straps sort of frame the ass in a very attractive way. I wouldn't necessarily call it a feminine harness, but the addition of the corseting might make it seem less masculine to some individuals.

    The front of the harness is a regular triangular shape, and the corset section is almost like an oblong with flattened edges. At the top edges of the triangle are two d-rings where the hip straps are attached with rivets keeping these d-rings in place. In the center of the triangle are the two o-rings, one interchangeable and the other cut out of the leather. The interchangeable o-ring is better for dildos/prosthetics like the Mistress, Leo, Goodfella, and Curve. The leather o-ring fits prosthetics like the Johnny better, since there is no restriction of how big the area can be. Each of the o-rings is 2" in diameter.

    Where the thigh straps are is a little rectangular shape that seems to function as a lining (like in underwear). It can be moved along the straps as it has loops. It can also be removed.

  • Size / Fit:

    Because there are three different places where this harness can adjust, there are an infinite amount of body types that it can fit. It fit me comfortably at my 26" x 28" pants size form, and could also fit people with hips up to 44". The smallest that it can fit should be about 24". If 44" isn't big enough for you, the corseting part can add up to about four to six more inches onto that if loosened. It's extremely comfortable and damn sexy on any body type. I can imagine that it would look attractive both on bigger or smaller individuals.

    The harness should also work for people who are taller or who have longer torsos as the thigh straps do adjust, as well. This extra adjustment is very useful in terms of fit, because the harness not only fits a wide range of sizes in the hips but also a wide range of heights.

  • Performance:

    If you follow me on Twitter and read my posts, you probably saw the one where I said, "This Minx harness looks so damn hot on me (excuse my arrogance)." Of course, that means that it not only looks "damn hot" on me, but it also means that it works "damn well." Because it has the capability to change the o-ring, this harness can fit the majority of dildos/prosthetics. I was able to easily fit my Goodfella through the interchangeable o-ring and fit my Johnny through the cut out o-ring on the leather itself. Both stayed in place throughout use.

    In terms of where the harness sits, it can be adjusted to sit over the wearer's sensitive parts (clitoris or other) for added pleasure, or it can be adjusted to sit higher if this is not a desired feature for the wearer. I usually let mine sit somewhere in the middle so that I do feel some pressure from my movements, but so that my prosthetic isn't too low or "out of place." A problem that I sometimes have with harnesses is that the hardware digs into my body; this surprisingly does not happen with the Minx.

    During use, the harness stays firmly on and does not move around all that much. Since it is made of a softer leather, I was able to tighten it and get a more snug fit than I would have had the leather been firmer. This makes the harness stay in place much better than others might. Sure, it's not as good as my Joque, but it is a superior leather harness.

    I do suggest adjusting and fitting the harness before actually using it. It will be much easier to put on if you have already gotten the perfect fit beforehand.

  • Care and Maintenance:

    Leather can be cleaned by either wiping it down with a damp, soapy cloth or by using a leather cleaner. Either method is sufficient. Since this is a harness, fluids are bound to get on it, so I personally take the damp cloth route because that, to me, makes it feel more clean. Make sure that whenever you clean the harness, you let it dry completely.

    For storage, as always, keep the harness out of direct sunlight and out of damp spaces. I put my harness in a box in my closet; hanging the harness up in a closet also works, which I know some people like to do.

  • Packaging:

    The Minx harness came in a plastic packaging (not resealable) with a tag attached. The tag talked about Aslan Leather's lifetime warranty and some tips for cleaning. Nothing else was included in the harness's packaging.
