The silicone bendable rose is a cute, bendable vibrator. It can be inserted or used on the outside of the body for stimulation. It features a range of 7 different vibrations, each of which is unique and of an average intensity. This toy would definitely make a beautiful gift for an anniversary, wedding, or Valentine's Day.The silicone rose is made out of both silicone and plastic. It is phthalate and latex free. The base area is plastic with some ridges all around it that make it easier to get a grip on, especially if the toy is wet. The stem feels like it is coated in some sort of rubber, though the product's packaging and Evolved's web site do not specify the material. The rose bud is made out of a velvety 100% silicone. It's soft and smooth feeling, with some give. There are some petal-like ridges that seem to only be on the toy in order to make it look like a real rose bud. They don't make much of a difference of feeling on my body. The seams are very nicely done and are only noticeable if you are very closely examining the rose bud. My only con is that the silicone attracts lint like a fiend. The material also does not slide against skin very well on its own, which can be solved with some water based lubricant.
The stem is bendable, but not all terribly too bendable. It can bend easily up to about a 40 degree angle. I tried bending mine tighter than that and got a pretty loud snap out of it. I would recommend sticking above 45 degrees, unless you want it to break. As a note, a 45 degree angle is half of a 90 degree, which is the angle of a box or rectangle corner.
There is a very light odor to the toy, both on the stem and the rose bud. It is very faint and reminds me of the smell of inflatable plastic swim rings. After a few washes in soap and water, the scent on my rose went away.
The whole toy is about 11 inches long. Most of that length is in the stem, which is a pretty good length. It allows enough room for this to be bent in any direction or inserted comfortably. I can bend this at almost a 90 degree angle and have it reach just the right spot on my shoulder.
The widest area of the base is about 5 inches around, which is the perfect size for holding. It's not too big for my hand and is not so small that it will slip out of my hand. It is also pretty comfortable to hold. Batteries are inserted through the bottom of the base, which screws off. The base has a good seal on it. There are two tabs, one small and one larger, that must be lined up with the correct holes in order to get the cap on or off. The button is just a simple push button on the bottom of the toy. Pressing it cycles through the vibrations and holding it for a few seconds turns it off.
The rose bud is about 2 1/2 inches tall and is 5 inches around at its widest. I love the shape and the fact that it is situated at the tip of a long stem. It can be easy to grip onto with vaginal muscles during insertion. However, this may be a bit too big around for some people to comfortably insert. I would make sure to use water-based lube while inserting, which will allow the toy to go in much more smoothly.
I feel this toy is very easy to hide. While it is long, it is also pretty slender. It will fit well in a dresser drawer. However, it is also pretty discreet looking to me. Sure, it vibrates, but it kind of looks like something you might find at Ikea or something to decorate with. It's pretty cute. I am sure that kids snooping around their parents' bedroom would not give it two glances.
I also feel this would work well for travel, again because of it being slender.
The silicone rose has 7 different vibrations, all of which are unique. The only part of the toy that actually vibrates is the rose bud. Turning the toy off does not restart it back at the beginning of the vibration cycle. It picks back up where it left off. Since not every toy could have been packaged at the same exact vibration setting, I will just start listing them with a low setting.
Level 1: A constant, low buzz. It's not too powerful and it's not loud at all. Not even a snoopy mom with her ear to the door could hear this.
Level 2: A constant, medium buzz. It's more powerful and is a bit louder. The base rattles a little bit from the vibrations. Holding it keeps it quiet.
Level 3: A constant, high buzz. Its powerful and kind of loud. Holding the base somewhat muffles the rattling, though not completely. The rose is still too loud to hear through a door.
Level 4: A pattern of different vibration levels. Similar to buzz.buzzz.BUZZZZZZ. The first is very short, followed by a somewhat longer buzz of the same level, finished off by a longer higher level buzz. The base is pretty noisy if it is not held. The rose bud is still quiet.
Level 5: buzz.buzz.buzz.buzz.buzz.BUZZZZZZ. The short burst of vibrations are a medium vibration, with the final burst a high vibration. As with the previous level, the rose is quiet and the base is loud.
Level 6: BUZZZZZZ..BUZZZZ.BUZZZ.BUZZ.BUZZ. The first and and second vibrations are higher, with the rest medium in intensity. The rose is still pretty quiet and the base is somewhat quieter than with the other pattern settings.
Level 7: buzzbuzzbuzzBUZZZ. This one is a very quick burst of buzzes, with the final one being slightly more powerful. The rose and the base are pretty quiet.
The packaging claims there are 10 different settings, however, I have only actually found 7. I have cycled through the rose several times and am able to only get a rotation of 7 different settings. It was kind of hard for me to turn off. I thought cycling through it would turn it off, though it just changes the vibrations. Eventually I figured out to hold the button down for a few seconds. Releasing it after 2-3 seconds turns the toy off.
I feel this is pretty easy to use. If the toy is aimed at your body, your fingers may already be on the bottom over the control button. I was able to use this without accidentally changing the settings, too. Gently pressing on the base to shift positions didn't change the setting.
I haven't fully used this in the water yet. Because of the holidays, my family has been home on vacation for around 2 weeks now, which means I can barely go into the bathroom just to bathe or brush my teeth without getting interrupted. I have quickly tried it under the sink, though, and it worked fine. Hopefully I will soon get some time with the house to myself to give it a full test in the water.
I don't feel this toy could be heard through a door. If you are holding the base to keep it quiet and are under the covers, it should be silent.
This toy should be used with water based lubes only. Silicone based could wreck it. If you are sharing this, it would be a good idea to use a clean condom on it with each use. This can prevent the spread of bacteria or STDs.
I feel this is pretty easy to clean. The packaging recommends Evolved Smart Cleaner, but I just use soap and warm water. I do NOT dry this with a towel. It attracts lint way too easily. I recommend leaving it sitting out to dry so that it can stay lint free. I don't recommend boiling this or throwing it in the dishwasher. It will probably break.
I keep mine stored in the original packaging. This keeps it from getting lint or dust on it and from coming in contact with other silicone toys. Contact with other silicone toys may damage the material. I also make sure to keep the batteries stored out of the toy, in case of battery corrosion.
The packaging is a simple clear plastic tube with clear plastic caps on both ends. It looks like a paper towel tube. There is a bow and gift tag on the packaging, so it can be given as a gift as is. The packaging does not contain much information on the toy, just some basic information such as it being waterproof, some material information, required batteries, and suggestions for how to clean it. I would have liked to have at least a little slip of paper telling me how to turn it off or something. I do like the packaging, though. It's just a simple tube with some text, rather than being covered with pictures of naked people. The packaging allows for it to make a great non-sexual gift to someone. Like I stated before, though, the packaging claims 10 settings and this toy only has 7.
I personally keep my rose stored in its box. This keeps it from getting covered in lint or dust. It also keeps it from coming in contact with other toys.
I'm not really much of a vibrator person. Every time I have tried one, it ended up pretty.. blah. I do like this one, though. It is not super intense feeling, which would be preferred by beginners or those who are sensitive to vibrations. I can also kind of bend this however I want. I suppose, too, if my boyfriend is being naughty, I can smack him with this, which kind of hurts. I have not experienced an orgasm from this yet, though.
I would definitely recommend this as a bridal gift or to someone looking for a less intense vibrator. It could also make a good Valentine's Day gift, which is what the packaging seems to be designed for.

Interesting....
..the design almost makes me scared. I mean, this is certainly something you dont see every day.
I have this, & it's actually quite good! I had my doubts at first but I was proved wrong in the end. The vibration is good, but it isn't the strongest. Although, I think the unique pulse patterns well make up for what the vibration lacks!
Strangeeeee looking. O_o
Weird to me.
Looks like a rose!

Cute, but I think I'd be afraid of accidentally bending it too much and snapping something inside of it =/
