Even when it has not yet been lit, you can tell that this is a massage oil candle. Running a finger over the cold candle leaves a bit of oil on your skin, but not much. Once it has burned for a bit the oil is on the thinner side and can easy be absorbed into the skin. It is fairly runny and works best for shorter massages, unless you plan on reapplying often. It is easy to pour this one right out of the candle jar or to dab some on your fingers and apply it this way. Due to it being on the thin side, it is easy to get it all over the side of the candle as well if you pour it out like this.
The consistency is good for those who don't like to feel too "oily" after receiving a massage. If you are looking for something that will last for a while, then this one might not be for you.

When the candle is not lit, the scent seems a bit stronger. It is a floral scent - the box states that it is orchid scented. After you light the candle the scent gets a little weaker, however it is still really nice. You can smell it for a while on your skin but it is nothing that is overpowering or annoying after a period of time.

This massage candle does what it was intended to do. It offers nice, warm massage oil that can be used on yourself or on a partner. The oil is a little thin for longer massages, however using more can be helpful. It absorbs into the skin easily, so it doesn't leave you feeling like it needs to be washed off.

One important thing about this candle is that it doesn't take very long for the candle to start melting to produce oil. This is a good thing because you don't need to wait long to get things started and if you need more you also won't have a long wait in between applications.

The candle itself is square and has a gray cover to keep on it when not in use. It is a cute design and doesn't take up much space.

This candle comes packaged in a square box that is not much larger than the candle itself. It has some information on the sides and a picture of a couple using the candle. It can easily be recycled or used to keep the candle in if you desire.

I had been wanting to try a massage oil candle for a while, but I never got around to it for some reason. I am glad I got to try this one out because it was what I was hoping it would be. Warm massages are more fun than regular massages, in my opinion, especially in these upcoming cold months. I also like the fact that the oil does not feel overly hot and instead is hot without being uncomfortable. I do just wish that the oil lasted a bit longer and didn't need to be reapplied as often.
