I wouldn't say that. I really love this one. It's nice, soft, durable and is a great introduction into BDSM. It's not one of those beginner's kits, where "beginner" means "cheap and awful - just to see what it's like and throw away".
It's a good basic kit for starter but it looks poorly made. For $5-$10 more I'm going to get the better one.

I would like to update my previous comment, I apparently had my head up my butt. They will work with a double pillow top king bed if you are side to side on the bed instead of normal top to bottom.
Good product. Its wonderfully soft, sturdy, great bargain, and the string/ ropes are a good length.
This starter kit is a GREAT bargain. Its comfortable, durable, affordable, & effective. The cuffs are soft and fairly sturdy even with some pulling and tugging. The Velcro holds well and doesn't rip off the cuffs or come undone with repeated use. The cuffs are lined in soft fleece which make them comfortable without leaving marks. The straps also are very durable.

Worth the money! They're not intimidating and great for beginners. The velcro is tough enough to hold together even with strong pulling, and they're not uncomfortable.
Soft cuffs, seam sturdy enough to get the job done. We have not been able to use them yet. The 44 inch straps are about 6 inches too short (depending on users height) for securing ones legs comfortably on a king size bed with a double pillow top.

Awesome kit, bought it as a birthday gift for my husband and it was really fun. We've outgrown this item moving on to more advanced knots and such but this product was great for us in the beginning when we were still trying to find out if bondage was right for us.
This is the perfect kit for beginners. They cuffs are comfortable and will fit most beds. The blindfold didnt get much use though. Worth the money!

The cuffs are very soft and comfortable. The restraint strap webbing is nice and long. The blindfold is made of the same soft material as the cuffs, and is effective. Quite fun. Definitely worth the money.
