2. I wanted something that I would be able to get out of quickly. More traditional BDSM kits have these scary, intimidating fastening systems. As a beginner, that was not only intimidating but pretty freaking scary to think about being stuck, especially if I was at all uncomfortable with what was going down. Velcro closure makes for a quick escape, as well as a quick tie down. Also, if you don't have a ton of privacy where you live, or if you are experimenting outside of your home, a quick escape may be more than a little desirable.

3. I wanted something adjustable. With this product, you tie the knots in the 44" of straps. This allowed a lot of freedom in position and in tightness of the restrained. The Velcro closure on the limb straps is also adjustable. Meaning, if you are really unsure, you can restrain your wrists loosely the first time, allowing you to wiggle them free if you get uncomfortable, or if you want to attack your partner with some moves of your own.

4. I wanted a product that was high enough quality that it would hold up to me using it consistently if I fell in love with bondage, but I wanted something cheap enough that I wouldn't feel like I had wasted money if I hated it. I have had my kit for a little over two years, I have used it as a light bondage kit (which is what it is designed for), and it still looks like new. 5. Finally, I didn't want to be able to see through my blindfold and ruin all the excitement! I was fairly impressed with how well this product managed to block out the light. The Great-Most-of-the-Time Features:
1. You tie your knots, therefore you are in control of tightness and positioning. Why this is sometimes a bummer: if you don't tie good knots, you're gonna be bummed, and if you don't have something to tie onto, you are also going to be bummed.
2. It's easy to get in and out of the restraints. Great if you want to get out. Not so great if you wiggle out in pleasure on accident.

The Drawbacks:
1. If you get too hot and heavy, really pulling and straining against your own knots, they are going to get really tight. Meaning, good luck getting them untied. This product isn't designed for you to really struggle and yank against it.
2. If you don't have bed posts, you might be needing to invest in extra rope, a new creative idea (like a chair!), or a different toy. This kit is really best suited to be used in a bed with bedposts. However, there are ways around this little problem. I have extra rope tied to the frame of my bed and I just keep this there, tied, ready for use. The ropes aren't even seen as I store them between the mattress and box spring of my bed. Before I thought up this nifty trick, I used this kit to be tied to a chair or other creative places.

No mess involved in this toy. Storage is simple, and care is simpler. Just roll up your cuffs and store for next use. Consider getting a cute little bag and pairing up your cuffs and blindfold with a few other favorite toys, a feather tickler, a sexy outfit, and maybe a good CD and you will have a travel kit ready for whenever the mood to be a little naughty strikes you!

Sportsheets products generally arrive in plastic packaging, and this kit is no exception. The packaging pictures a girl tied up to a chair, which may give you a few outside-of-the-bedroom ideas for your new kit! However, the packaging is not much more useful, so I'd just recycle it and pick up a cute little bag for storage.

I suggest this product to anyone who has ever had the tiniest fantasy about bondage.
