Rainbow Heart is made out of smooth pyrex glass, one of the safest glass options available. Pyrex glass is described as "a hard material with a high chemical resistance and mechanical strength." It's made to withstand temperature changes and is more dense than regular glass which makes it less likely to shatter. If Pyrex glass does break it's supposed to separate into large chunks rather than shatter into small pieces. If a chip does appear in the glass, it's best to toss the dildo and purchase a new one. A chip could cause scratching or injury and continued use could cause the glass to chip or break further.

Although the pyrex glass is smooth, there are very few areas on the Rainbow Heart where the smoothness can be felt, since it's covered in texture. There are over 95 raised nubs on the insertable shaft of the dildo. The nubs are all around the size of a pea, but vary slightly in shape. Some of the nubs are more rounded and others come to a rounded point on one of the sides. The glass between the nubs is smooth as is the handle and the rounded tip of the dildo.

Pyrex glass has no smell or taste. Since glass is so smooth it needs very little lube, if any for comfortable insertion. Lube doesn't absorb into the material during use, so most users won't have to reapply it to the toy. Glass is a great material for temperature play, because it retains heat and cold well. Although Pyrex glass should be able to handle temperature changes, it's not recommended to expose it to extreme heat and then switch to extreme cold. Glass that has been exposed to heat or cold should be felt before internal use, because it could potentially cause burns to sensitive areas.

Glass is an unyielding material and the nubs on the Rainbow Heart make the hardness of the glass more noticeable. The dildo could be considered too intense for some users and because of this it is probably best suited for more advanced users, texture lovers or beginners who are willing to take it slow.

The design of the Rainbow Heart is simple, yet effective and appealing to the eye. The insertable portion of the dildo is 6 1/2" in length with a diameter of 1 1/8." This area is straight, cylindrical and covered in raised nubs. The area underneath the nubs is clear glass, while the nubs are a variety of different colors. There are four rows of each color of nub. Starting at the handle the nubs are green, then yellow, blue and red. The tip of the dildo is rounded and free of nubs. The handle of the dildo is made out of smooth glass and is shaped like a heart. The color is a light pinkish-purple. From the top of the handle to the tip of the dildo the Rainbow Heart is 9 1/4" and weighs about 13 oz.

There are a few imperfections in the glass such as tiny bubbles in some areas and a seam along the length of the insertable portion of the dildo. Neither of these imperfections is really noticeable unless the user is looking closely at the glass. There are also a few areas on the glass that divet in as a result of the liquid glass being poured into the mold.

This dildo doesn't exactly scream sex toy, however, it will draw attention because of it's pretty design. Therefore, it is best to store it away in a padded bag away from prying eyes. When it's placed in a padded storage bag it is suitable for traveling.

The Rainbow Heart has a variety of different uses because of it's unique design. The raised nubs feel great when rubbed against the body either for a massage or to scratch the back. Since the dildo is straight in design, g-spot stimulation isn't really an option with the Rainbow Heart. Caution should be used when using this toy internally, because of it's noticeable texture. Some users may have to work up to this toy before they can enjoy it, because of it's hardness and texture. The more lube that is applied to the toy, the less noticeable the nubs become. If using this toy with a partner, make sure you are vocal about what feels good and take it slow until you both discover the right thrusting rhythm.

Glass becomes slippery when lube is applied, but because of the handle it's less likely that the dildo will slip out of your hand during use. However, it's a good idea to wipe lube off your hands before gripping the handle, because that area is smooth and the dildo could potentially slip from your grasp.

Pyrex glass is nonporous and easy to clean. It can be cleaned with warm water and antibacterial soap or toy cleaner. It can also be wiped down with a 10% bleach solution or placed on the top rack of the dishwasher when you want to give it a thorough cleaning. The texture requires the user to pay extra attention when cleaning the Rainbow Heart, because grime can hide around the nubs. Make sure you clean the toy well and look at it after it's been washed before it's stored. Since the dildo is made out glass it is compatible with any type of lube.

The Rainbow Heart comes in a dark purple faux suede bag. The interior feels satiny and is dark pink in color. The bag is closed by pulling on the two black chords found on either side of the bag. This cinches the bag closed and if the user wants the drawstrings can also be tied. The bag isn't very padded, however, it should keep the Rainbow Heart from banging against other toys. If you plan on traveling with this dildo, you might want to invest in a more padded bag just to be safe. The drawstring bag makes this dildo perfect for gift giving. Besides the bag, there wasn't any kind of packaging or instructions.

The Rainbow Heart is easily one of the prettiest dildo's I've ever seen. The combination of colors and the design of the toy make it visually appealing to the eye. If you like texture this is a wonderful toy for insertion, however, it may be too much stimulation for some users. This dildo has quickly become my favorite glass toy, because of it's looks and the way it performs. One of my favorite uses for it is as a back scratcher and for body massage. I highly recommend the Rainbow Heart.
