Juicy Lube's packaging calls it a “lubricating gel,” and it lives up to its name; it's pretty thick. If you apply some on your skin, it travels very slowly, even if your skin is vertical and already wet. Juicy Lube is neither runny nor watery, and it feels pretty slippery and smooth. It should work well for most users for oral and manual play, intercourse, and toy play. When it dries, it doesn't all absorb into the skin, but the minimal residue isn't sticky. A quick wipe with a tissue should usually be all the clean up that's needed.

The Bubblegum Blast flavor smells quite sweet, like a mix of bubblegum and plain icing. The taste, however, is very similar to sugar-free bubble gum. It doesn't taste like table sugar, so if you really dislike the taste of saccharin or aspartame, this lube probably isn't for you. However, if you like sugar-free bubblegum and enjoy that classic bubblegum flavor, you'll probably love this variety of Juicy Lube. It's sweet like powdered sugar without being overpowering. The flavor fades pretty quickly as you lick the lube, but it doesn't have much of an aftertaste despite the artificial sweeteners.

Juicy Lube performs strongly in pretty much every arena. It's easy to apply, easy to spread around with a finger, tongue, or toy, and simple to clean up. The clear, non-staining formula plays nicely with your sheets, blankets, and clothing. Juicy Lube lasts a while, and if it starts to dry, you can add a bit of water or saliva to reinvigorate it while you're playing.

Some people may be sensitive to, or simply may prefer to avoid, some of the ingredients. This lube contains glycerin, methylparaben, and, as previously mentioned, the artificial sweeteners saccharin and aspartame.

Don't worry if the bottle tilts or topples over while you're having fun; if you've got the neat airless pump design, then the bottle won't leak.

Juicy Lube comes in a rigid plastic bottle with a broad pump top. If you happen to land on this bottle, it won't break or squirt lube anywhere (well, unless you land on the pump top!). A small plastic plug sits in the bottle's opening to keep any lube from escaping, and a clear plastic cap snaps down on the bottle's top. The plastic plug is great for keeping dust and debris out of the lube bottle, but it's easy to misplace since it's tiny and not tethered to the bottle.

Usually I'm not an outspoken fan of flavored lubes, but this Bubblegum Blast Juicy Lube blew me away. First, it tastes awesome. Earlier I said it tastes like sugar-free bubble gum, and I love that flavor! I've eaten a ton of this stuff off of the back of my hand as I've written this review. It's so yummy! I keep licking it up and wishing I could chew it.

Next, I was surprised it actually performs well. I usually think of flavored lubes as being mostly for oral and not thick enough for toy use, but I was definitely wrong here. It's decently thick, and doesn't run everywhere when I apply it. I really like this lube. It's certainly thick enough for me to use with larger insertable toys, including textured ones.

And that bottle design? I love it. I think it's the best bottle design I've ever seen. I can pump out lube no matter how I hold the bottle, and the canister has hardly any air in it. That might not seem very special, but think about bottles with regular pump or squeeze tops. There's almost always air in the bottle once you've used some of the lube. In this bottle, there's an inner platform that pushes all of the lube up as you use it, so your lube stays fresher longer. And the sides of the bottle are so hard, it almost feels like little can of shaving cream. This lube bottle design is pretty impressive.

I realize that the ingredients list makes this lube not an ideal choice for all users, but my experience with it was pretty great. I recommend Juicy Lube as a quality flavored lube that performs well across the board.
