The Diva is a powerful, hand held clit massager with an ergonomic design that offers a broad base vibration as well as specific stimulation from its pleasure nub.The Diva is made from slick ABS plastic, with a candy shine finish. However, it features a seam that is prominent around its margin (where the top face and bottom face connect). This accumulates ick way too easily and is a real flaw in the overall design. The battery compartment is situated at the handle end and opens up with a simple pop off/press on style lid. There is an o-ring around this opening, which is nice to see even though the toy is not said to be water or splash proof.
The Diva is pretty cool, design wise. It is large enough to fit comfortably in my hand from fingertips to palm, with my hand in a really relaxed position. Given that the "business end" of the Diva is broad and the hand relaxed, the Diva allows a greater degree of mobility and fine tuning while in use, without vibrator hand cramp setting in. While the end of the Diva is broad, there is a small nub on the underside of the business end that is, of course, wonderful for stimulating the clit. Now this nub is not exceptionally nubby - that is, not too long - so I think that this could either be amazing or not, depending on personal anatomy and level of sensitivity. For example: women with larger outer labia would likely find the pleasure nub barely grazes the clit, which could be great if the clit in question is very very sensitive, or rather unfortunate if its not. On the upside, however, the Diva's broad end is entirely vibrating, so fans of broad area vibration will love it o matter what.
Th Diva uses the simple plus and minus button system to control its eight levels of vibration and seven different patterns. Given that the Diva takes three AAA batteries, as one might expect its top vibration level is nice and strong. The levels of vibration preceding the top level are all nice steps down and feel very discreet. The patterns of vibration - accessed through pushing down on the plus button for a few seconds - range from standard (pulsations, three different speeds) to exotic (one feels like it whirls in circles, it's really fabulous) and are actually pretty fun to play with.
Hard plastic like ABS may be wiped don with an antibacterial toy cleaner, soap and water, or even a 10% bleach solution, depending on your personal toy cleaning routine. This toy really shouldn't be shared because of the seam around its edge and the fact that it can't really be cleaned out effectively. When cleaning this toy for yourself, just be sure to pay attention to the seam and use a Q-tip or something to make sure your soap/cleaner/bleach gets in there. Do be careful as well when cleaning the toy to keep the buttons dry, as they are not waterproofed.
This toy comes in an attractive cardboard box (high quality) with a hard plastic insert that cradles the toy. It's nice. The toy comes with a small satin pouch for storage.
