The finger vibe is made from plastic and silicone, with the plastic being what is in contact with the areas that are being stimulated. The silicone is where you slip your fingers into. The plastic is hard and has no give to it at all. The silicone is flexible and stretches to fit a wide variety of fingers, but is still firm enough to stay on your finger while in use. Both materials are nonporous and hypoallergenic, as well as latex- and phthalates-free.
It has no smell or taste to it at all, and does not collect lint.
The smooth texture to this is best for those who prefer no additional texture to their toys. It does have an area in the plastic that is slightly open, where the bullet comes apart from the finger sheath, but it isn't unpleasant on the skin.
This is designed to slip over any finger you choose, and should fit most fingers comfortably. There is a raised area on top of the finger vibe where you can rest your finger comfortably. I usually put it over my index finger and use my thumb to turn it on and off. The design is not bulky, is easy to maneuver, and doesn't cause discomfort while in use.
The finger vibe is white and purple in color, and has a rounded tip that is great for pinpoint stimulation.
It is small enough to fit into my hand, and measures 4" overall from tip to base. That's including the little flap that hangs down into your hand. Without the fingertip attachment, the bullet measures 2 1/2" long. It is 3" around at the tip of the toy, and 4" around at the bottom of the toy where your finger slides in. It provides ample room for various sized fingers.
Although this isn't phallic shaped, it's pretty obvious it is a sex toy. It is still small enough to be discreet to carry in a bag, purse, or pocket.
It has one push button control that is located just inside the finger sleeve. Press once to turn on and press again to turn off. You can't find much easier controls than this.
It requires 2 LR44 watch batteries to control it, which are included. The battery is installed in an awkward way. First, you twist and pull up on the cap. From there, you have the removable bullet with a black push button control. On the side is a little white opening that you slide back to insert the batteries. You stack them on top of each other and then slide the cover over the batteries, and either insert the bullet back into the sheath or use it without.
The vibrations are stronger out of the sleeve than they are in, but the silicone sheath carries the vibrations very well through the toy. The majority of the vibrations are felt at the tip, up where the bullet is located. If you turn the vibe on its side, you achieve broader stimulation; if you use it at the tip, it is more pin point stimulation. The vibrations are not as buzzy as most bullets are, but aren't exactly deep and rumbly like most luxury vibes. The vibrations do not make your fingers go numb after prolonged use.
When in use, you cannot hear it through a closed door or thin walls.
It is best to always clean before and after each use. To clean, just use soap and warm water, but be careful not to get any in the battery compartment. You can also use your favorite toy wipe or cleaner with this.
When selecting a lube, the company recommends using water-based lubricants only, because oil based lubes could potentially break down the material.
It comes packaged in a small purple box, with a picture of a naked woman on the front. Her hand displays the finger vibe and is positioned over her pubic area. There's a larger picture of the finger vibe across one breast and the majority of the model's body, but you are able to see the nipple that wasn't covered. The sides have information written in 10 languages. The back shows a picture of the finger vibe on a hand, and mentions below the picture that it fits perfectly on the finger.
There was a brief information sheet that came with the product, but it was more of a generic company guideline over all their toys versus applying to this specific toy. It had pictures of the various types of toy designs and showed where the battery compartment was in each.
Overall, I was satisfied with the finger vibe. I've been enjoying using finger massagers as aids during foreplay with my husband, and this has the right amount of power for him. I prefer stronger power when it comes to me, but it is great to use as a warm-up.
I found the vibe to be very comfortable and not constricting in any way. I could place it on any finger and not have to worry about it being too tight or too loose to use. My only issue is the watch batteries; they lasted for probably a couple of hours of non-consecutive use. When the batteries are running low, the power will have a noticeable decrease, so make sure you have new batteries close by for when this happens.
