The Tulip vibrator is definitely not lacking in power or angles. It is curved just right to hit the g-spot every time. The pointed tip allows for pin point stimulation for not only the g-spot, but the clitoris as well. A dedicated on/off switch will keep you from fumbling through vibration levels to turn this toy off.The Tulip Wand is made of plastic with that ever-so-popular velvety feel to it. What is so great about the plastic is that it is non-porous, firm, a great transfer for vibrations, and has no awful tastes or smells. The Tulip is a smooth all over vibrator, that has just a little bit of drag during use. It is very firm, which is wonderful for g-spot stimulation. The only bump on the vibe is the tip that looks like a closed tulip; it tapers out then falls back in onto a narrow shaft (much like an anal plug would fall into the stem).
The curve of the Tulip made g-spot stimulation simple. Although reaching the g-spot was easy, good stimulation may be hard for some to reach. The pointed tip of the Tulip may not suit every woman's needs because the point can be mildly irritating with too much pressure added. Thrusting is difficult because of the tip as well, keep this in mind.
The Tulip is small in general size, one inch wide, but is long with five and a half inches of insertable pleasure (total length is 8.5 inches). Although it is narrow, I am not quite sure the tip of the vibrator would be best suited for those who are newer to experimenting with their g-spots. This would likely be a better toy for those who are well versed in g-spot play. It would also be better alone, as some partners may thrust too hard and the tip of the Tulip against the cervix is not the most pleasurable feeling. If you are playing with a partner be sure to verbalize if the toy is causing discomfort.
The base of the shaft is thicker, about 1.5 inches or so, and it tapers down to a little under an inch. Like a mushroom top would, the tip puffs out then comes to a point (not a sharp one though) at the top. The base of the top, where it meets the shaft had a little of an opening that may potentially collect bacteria if not cleaned well. Because this is a non-porous toy, cleaning it well will keep anything from growing in or on it.
The Tulip is a 7 function vibrator with four levels of vibration and three patterned vibrations. All can be felt quite well at the top of the vibrator. The first three are the basic low, medium, and high... but the last vibration is like an ultra high, I assume it is like the ultimate orgasm speed or something. The vibrations are basic. They won't knock your socks off or rock your world, but they are pleasurable.
The controls are easy. They are located at the base of the toy, on the handle. Two little buttons. There is a dedicated on/off button and the other button changes vibration settings. This is really wonderful because you don't have to run through all the settings just to turn the vibrations off. Just push the button and it's off. Once the toy is on the buttons light up to let the user know the toy is on (because apparently the vibrations don't indicate that). It isn't overly loud either, you might even say for the level of vibrations it offers, the Tulip is relatively quiet.
It is waterproof, which makes using it easier on those who are trying to learn about female ejaculation (no clean up needed). It did perform well in water (fully submerged even). I was a little worried because the o-ring seemed a little thin, but no water leaked into the battery compartment at all. An added benefit is that cleaning is a breeze when you don't have to worry about getting the toy wet.
The Tulip is made of plastic with a velvety coating over it. It can be cleaned with warm water and a toy cleaner or it can be rubbed down with alcohol. It is very easy to keep clean with the exception of the area directly under the tip of the vibrator. Some lint and whatnot did end up trapped underneath it, use of a tooth brush (not your own...or anyone else's) will get that out if needed.
This can be kept with other toys, in a drawer or where ever really. I does look a bit like a regular vibrator, so if company is coming by putting this toy away might be ideal. The Tulip can also be used with any type of lubricant you own, so do not fear using whatever is on hand. It takes two AAA batteries and holds the charges pretty well. To lengthen the life of the batteries remove them when the toy is not in use.
Clam shell. Need I say more? The packaging is simple. With the basic paper background. Why, then, does packaging matter? Because on the package it states "Sex toys bring more erotic pleasure to the world." I just thought y'all needed to know that. It is a powerful and positive statement. I liked it.
I didn't care too much for the pointed tip of the Tulip. I honestly prefer a more blunt ended toy for g-spot stimulation, but overall this is a well made toy with easy to use controls. I did enjoy it a lot.
The Tulip also works well on the breasts. The curve of the toy can actually cup the breast mimicking a full breast massage... just a suggestion.
Because it is waterproof it can be used in the shower, in the bath, the pool, the hot tub (maybe?), or even the beach (well maybe not the beach unless you are trying to get arrested).
Ooh... just thought of this as well... the motor is located in the middle of the toy, so using the curved part of the toy as a massager for the back is another idea worth trying.
It is because of the opening under the tip that this was a 3 star toy. I am concerned about the fact that stuff can be caught in there then inserted into a vagina. A good cleaning can prevent this, but it is not a guarantee.
I did nail my cervix a few times, and even hit my g-spot too hard once. The pointed tip took some getting used to, and maybe I will even continue to use this to see if that pin point precision is something I can learn to enjoy.
