When I saw the name of this toy, admittedly, I was pretty dubious; a cactus isn’t really what you want to be putting anywhere near your private parts. However, let me put your mind at rest. Yes, the Cunning Cactus has got spiky bits on it, but they’re made of such a soft material; they don’t actually feel spiky. In fact, I’ve felt worse stubble on a man. The Cactus vibe comes in a lovely box, so it’s something guys could potentially give as a gift to their other half, or maybe just for the lady to treat herself. When firing the toy up, please bear aware that it requires a 9v battery, so make sure you order some along with your toy or you won’t be able to use it straight away. I did find it a little fiddly to fit the battery. Once it’s in, it’s quite difficult to slide the battery cover back on again. So make sure you haven’t already got lube on your hands, or you’ll struggle. The shaft of this vibrator isn’t overly large, so if you’re looking for internal sensation, this is probably the wrong toy for you. It’s just a nice comfortable fit, and even though there are spikes on the middle shaft, you won’t notice a thing when you’re all excited and using it. The best thing to do is manoeuvre the toy into the position you think is best to stimulate both your clitoris and your anus, then play around with the settings until you find one that’s good for you. Note that the stem designed for your anus will just be long enough to stimulate the opening, not to actually go inside you. Once you’re in a comfortable position, the toy certainly works its magic, as the vibrations are very powerful. Since the parts of the vibe that touch your clitoris and anus are quite big, they stimulate a large area and increase your chances of orgasm. Unfortunately, this toy didn’t give me an orgasm, but it was incredibly pleasurable, and I could see it being a fun toy to use with a partner before penetration. However, I’m sure women that climax more easily would find this toy is more than enough to make them orgasm. A couple of points to pick out: the placement of the buttons is quite irritating, as you may find that when you’re holding the vibrator, your fingers nudge one of the other buttons and change the setting. This would be even more irritating if it prevented you reaching orgasm. It’s also a very noisy toy, so definitely one for use in an empty house. Overall though, it’s not a bad toy. But the second time I used the toy, I didn't feel like the vibrations were reaching my clitoris or the outside of my anus as well as they were reaching my vag. A problem I had with the different vibration options: the buttons are located right on the handle, where you grip the toy to push it in and out of you, and are really easy to bump accidentally. You could be about to come, but then touch the handle in the wrong place and startle yourself because the vibration style has changed. I also had an issue with the vibrator turning on by itself due to the placement of the buttons, which was quite embarrassing. I ended up pretending that the loud vibrating sound was my "vibrating alarm clock," but of course my boyfriend's roommate knew what was going on. If you are interested in purchasing the Cunning Cactus vibrator, keep in mind it might not be able to go into your anus. I would suggest this toy to people who are more experienced with vibrators and are not turned off by the interesting shape and points on top of each prong. The shape and large size might be daunting to a newbie. I would also suggest, as with all vibrators, to remove the batteries while you are not using it and especially while you are cleaning the vibrator. And do NOT use silicone lubricants with any silicone sex toy, as they will damage the surface of your toy; no one wants a warped dildo, that's just too depressing.
