Outside of steel, wood, ceramic or stone, silicone is probably the best material on the market today. It holds up well to sterilization methods such as bleaching or boiling, and it lasts an immeasurable amount of time if cared for correctly. The same holds to be true for the Panty Play.

The ridge that sits against the clit is extremely stiff and hard with no give to it. This keeps the clitoris at attention while in use and is, in general, rather comfortable. The thinner end is meant to sit against the vulva toward the anus and just hugs your body in silicone goodness.

The texture of the toy is quite smooth to the touch, almost like velvet. There is a bit of a drag to it if it's placed against dry skin, and while most women produce at least a little bit of lubrication throughout the day, anything that pinches or snags the skin will dry that up in a heartbeat, perpetuating the problem. Just the tiniest drop of lubricant rubbed over the surface of the toy will help quite a bit and should stop the problem in its tracks. There is no smell or taste to this product, as is the case with most silicone toys.

The vibrator is a Tantus bullet---it's chrome with a purple silicone o-ring and silicone button that powers it on and changes speeds. It sits securely in its holster on the back of the toy with about half an inch jutting out.

The Panty Play is 5 inches long, and 2 inches wide, give or take a centimeter or two. The ridge in the center is 1 inch high and 1 inch wide. This toy has a unique curve to it and with the thinner end being so flexible, it really does hug the vulva perfectly. Because it's silicone, it also warms to body temperature quite quickly, making it easy to forget it's there when the vibrator is off. The ridge is quite hard and inflexible and translates the vibrations really well to the clitoris and surrounding area.

I don't think products like this are designed to make you orgasm in public, but instead are designed to make you aware of your sex and to keep your mind focused in that direction. If I am correct in this assessment, I feel that Tantus really did an outstanding job with this product.

The vibrator has, from what I can tell, five speeds. There are three constant vibrating modes that vary intensity from light to heavy. Think of your standard three speed silver bullet and you've got a close enough approximation to what those speeds feel like. Then there are two other patterns: one with an intermittent pulse with about a second between each with an underlying vibration, and one with the same pulse and nothing else.

The vibrator is easy to turn on and off when half-dressed but it's a little bit of a different story while clothed. You'll essentially look like you're spelunking for treasure if you attempt this in public and people will stare at you. If you desire to change functions just run to the ladies room and adjust it there.

To turn the vibrator off you have to unscrew the cap just a bit and this is, again, not something you can do whenever, wherever.

This toy is one-hundred percent waterproof. The vibrator has a silicone o-ring to prevent fluids from entering the battery compartment. The silicone, or main portion, of the toy is boilable, bleachable and dishwasher safe. You can store it in the original packaging, which is just a clamshell case, or toss it in your nightstand and forget about it. It doesn't pick up lint and it's really easy to wipe down with a wet cloth for a quick clean up.

This toy requires one N1 battery to operate the bullet. The battery is included, but mine died within mere minutes of the first use so I recommend picking up a package of batteries while you're waiting for it to arrive. Two Energizer batteries were $5-something and I've gotten several sessions of use in so far on the new battery with no sign of it fading.

Okay, we've covered the intended use for the toy. Now let's talk about the other fun things you can do with it, shall we?

As I mentioned before, this toy works best when used with tight-fitting undergarments. You may have seen the RodeoH harness on Eden---it's a panty-style harness for strap-on play. The pair I have is a size 26" and they fit quite snugly. I just pop the Panty Play into place, put those on and I get mine while I give them theirs. It's also really fun to wear around the house while doing chores or playing video games.

But, wait! There's a bonus! If you turn the toy around, with the slimmer tip toward the clitoris and manipulate the area by rubbing the toy around the clitoris by hand, it almost feels like you're being orally serviced. With the added bonus of vibrations. I think it took about fifteen minutes to orgasm this way and it was a slow build into a glorious release.

Really, you're only limited by your imagination and preferences here. You can do just about anything with this toy, except insert it.

It should be noted that I could feel the vibrations from the toy several inches away from my physical body while sitting on my couch. When I'm holding the toy in my hand and it's on its most powerful setting, I cannot hear it. That was with the television on and the central-air running. When I place it against my body and then slip into a pair of jeans, I can hear it and the vibrations seem to amplify just a bit. So, it's really best to make sure there is at least a little bit of din in the background if you're paranoid about those kinds of things. Me? I just say my cell phone is blowing up and it's on vibrate.

I had a bit of a hard time adjusting my gait around the toy at first and I felt that I looked extremely awkward, but my husband assured me that he couldn't see the toy and that he couldn't hear it either. It did want to slip to the side a bit, but I think that has more to do with my small frame than anything else. I'm just not particularly wide in that area of my body so there was nothing to aid in keeping it there, other than my panties.

I'm pretty happy with the toy overall and I do use it frequently while sitting around or doing chores. I think I would like to see the ridge be just a little bit smaller in length to better accomodate my body, but as it's a one-size fits all deal I'll take what I can get.
