The Beaver Shot is made of plastic, so it has no odor or taste. It's phthalates-free and body friendly. The texture consists of a pattern of small ridges which are not at all sharp, but which can be felt distinctly depending on the angle at which the toy makes contact with the skin.
Whether individual users enjoy the texture in direct contact with the skin is a matter of personal tastes.
Hunting enthusiasts will note that the Beaver Shot very closely resembles a shotgun shell. It's slightly larger than the AAA battery that it requires, and it's cordless. The small size allows it to be quite versatile in use, as it fits easily between bodies during partner sex, and also fits into the bullet holes of a variety of dildos. Always apply a drop of water-based lubricant before inserting this bullet into any silicone toys, or it could be very difficult to remove.
The small size means that it can be hidden anywhere, and the discreet look means very few people will recognize it as a sex toy.
The multi-speed vibrations are felt throughout the small body of the Beaver Shot, and range from pleasant, teasing lower speeds up into a high frequency and powerful upper setting. These are controlled with a twist of the base. When first starting the Beaver Shot, it is necessary to turn it on first, and then adjust down to find the lower setting. This reduces the likelihood of the Beaver Shot turning itself on at an inopportune moment when not in use, at the cost of a moment's inconvenience at the beginning of play.
The Beaver Shot is fairly quiet for a plastic toy, and cannot be heard through a closed door. On the highest setting, it can be heard through a blanket in a completely silent room, but almost any background noise serves as sufficient cover.
This toy is waterproof.
Maintenance and storage are easy. Simply wash the waterproof Beaver Shot with hot, soapy water, or your favorite toy cleaner. It should be stored with the battery removed, and it's small enough to stash away in a wide variety of small containers. Since it's plastic, it can safely come in contact with other plastic toys.
Do not boil the Beaver Shot, as that would damage the motor. You can wipe it down with rubbing alcohol if necessary.
Plastic toys are compatible with both water-based and silicone lubes, but if this bullet is used in conjunction with silicone dildos, please remember that those toys require water-based lubricants.
The Beaver Shot arrives in only a small piece of plastic, rather than any wasteful packaging.
While I found the highest setting to be too high pitched and strong for my personal tastes, at least when used directly, I very much liked the lower settings of the Beaver Shot. I found that the texture added to the toy, and I was absolutely delighted with how well it fit my bullet-compatible dildos. No more expensive watch batteries, or hard-to-find N batteries.
