This vibrator has a dial base control, that doubles as the battery cap. It's actually harder to use than most dials as it doesn’t turn very easily with one hand controlling it. The cap does stay on tight, and it's easy to get off. The (2 AA) batteries clip into a removable sleeve that is placed inside the vibrator. You can take the whole thing out which prevents corrosion of the batteries, and saves the hassle of taking them out and putting them back in every time you want to use it. Simply grab the sleeve, slide it in and viola. It doesn't even matter what way you put it in.
Black Magic is waterproof, and has held up in the bathtub with me thus far. It has a nice, thick O-Ring at the base that does a damn good job of keeping water out. I have fully submersed this and it is still alive. The vibration is a steady buzz ranging from very low to medium-high intensity and is focused in the tip of the vibe. Even though this toy is plastic the vibrations do not carry through the whole shaft well. They stay in the top half of the toy. Although they are more on the milder side, they are very deep and can be felt deep inside the vaginal canal when thrusting. This makes for excellent internal stimulation. They are also very silent, and can not be heard through covers, making Black Magic an ideal vibe for dorms or homes where discreetness is necessary. Care and Maintenance:
This is a good low maintenance toy. Since it is plastic, it is non porous and can quickly be cleaned off with a toy wipe or a quick rinse with soap and warm water. It can be stored with other toys and is small enough to carry in your purse or bag. Although small, it still isn't the most discreet thing so be careful when storing it somewhere that you might run into trouble.

Packaging:
The box this came in was your typical plastic Doc Johnson box, but it had very pretty colors to it. It matched the vibe’s name of Black Magic with a deep purple color theme and it was pleasing to the eye. I would say this could work as a gift for the orgasm newbie in your life. The box is clear plastic, however, so be sure to give it where there won’t be an issue when the receiver opens it.

Personal comments:
I am a self proclaimed size queen as of the last month or so, so girth is my thing to go for. I usually look right past the slimmer, smaller toys just because I want to get filled up. Well when I got the chance to review this I decided to give it a try. It is very classy and beautiful looking to me, so that is something that has attracted me to it.
I must say that I wouldn’t have selected this on my own. I would have over looked it completely.
