Best use: Pleasantly paffuto lip gloss from Principessa Beauty is everything one could want in a lip gloss - shine, light-light color, gentle lip plumping, long lasting slickness and only mild stickiness. This is definitely a lip gloss and nothing but - the color is way too light to be used as an "in a pinch" blush, and the texture is truly lipgloss-esque. This could easily be a day to day lip gloss but could also be used to complement a much dressier outfit if a naturally made up look is desired.
  • Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity:

    This lip gloss is silky and thick. It loads onto the applicator wand easily and spreads over the lips smoothly and easily. Unlike many lip glosses, this product is not over-the-top sticky. It's interesting, actually, that it could be so glossy and slick without being a hair-magnet. When applied to the lips, it stays in place firmly, resisting unwanted distribution in the face of pursing lips. It transfers over to glasses and other sets of lips, but not excessively, and it feels moisturizing rather than sticky.

    This lip gloss smells lightly sweet and candy-ish, but only very lightly with no other scent at all. Taste wise, the gloss tastes neutral, like petroleum jelly's null flavor.

  • Performance:

    As lip glosses go, this is one of the longest lasting I've ever encountered. It lasts for hours, which is extremely unusual - staying shiny and silky the whole time. It did not have to be washed off - a few wipes with a Kleenex will pull it off if you want it gone before it wears off. The plumping effect, however, is a bit more nebulous in length - the lip gloss tingles a bit in the first half hour of wear, and during that time I could believe that I saw a plumping effect on my lips, but after that it seemed to go away. And honestly, it's a bit hard to unravel whether the plumping effect I see is due to the glossiness or honest and true plumping. I will say, however, that when I put this gloss on my lips, my husband said they looked hot. So perhaps this means the product 'works', one way or the other.

  • Packaging:

    This lip gloss comes in a tight little cardboard tube that fits the gloss perfectly, but isn't necessary for long term storage. The gloss itself is in a standard clear plastic gloss bottle with a screw on top that has a wand attached. The wand is long and broad, with a wonderful angle that allows application of the gloss across the whole width of my lips without having to do multiple strokes to fill in an area.
