I have no problem eating pork. (FTR, bacon and pork chops are "real" pork. Anything that comes from a pig is.)
The news in the US has been saying the same thing about a "bacon shortage." I call bullshit. Yes, the grain may be a little more expensive, but the fact that bacon is more popular than ever now and suddenly we are being told the price will triple next year due to "grain shortages" is mostly bullshit. I mean, they probably will raise the prices. Big Business works on propaganda and lies. The Pork Industry wants more money, so they manufacture a "shortage." It's been done in virtually every industry in the country at one time or an other.
If it gets really expensive, we'll probably cut back. But, I don't believe the entire reason for predicting
the prices going up is due solely to what they are telling us.
