Where do you fall on the Kinsey Scale?

Here's a page from Kinsey's site about the Kinsey Scale. Only you can determine where you are on the Scale. If you're Bi, chances are you are closer to a 3. But, it depends. Go to the site and read about it.

Alfred Kinsey did some groundbreaking research into human sexuality.

I've never really explored with other girls so maybe actually getting experience in that regard would change things, but I think I'm a pretty solid three and I'd call myself pansexual. But it's hard to say, it seems to vary day to day.

It changes over time. I feel like it is hard to say anything that will last forever.

I used to but lately I've come to not really care where I fall on the K-scale.

What does incidentally homosexual mean?

Not sure if I fit any of them =o= it's largely personality that attracts me but physically I am more attracted to male or masculine bodies, also male identified people... same with androgynous individuals. I've been attracted to women for their personality but never really gave any thought to their anatomy. Not sure what that would be called so not sure how to judge myself on this scale.

So I've never heard of this scale before but I looked it up on Wikipedia. What does it mean to be 'incidentally' homosexual?

From the movie Zack and Miri Make a Porno:
Brandon: I thought you recognized me from my work, but you're not my demographic so I'm not offended.
Zack: Well, who's your demographic?
Brandon: Do you like pussy?
Zack: Yeah.
Brandon: Then not you.
(if you haven't seen it Brandon is a gay porn star)
...I agree with Zack, replace 'pussy' with 'penis' and I'd say 'no' or 'ewe gross' or 'only my own' depending on my mood. I think that places me at zero on the scale?

I think this is oversimplified.

I voted a 3, but I might be more of a 4, but I went with 3 since I am married to a man.

It one tool in an entire lifework in the study of Human Sexuality. Kinsey did human sexuality study his entire life, he was one of the first people to be accepting of GLBT people in the world of psychology (in the 1940s) and he is more than his "Kinsey Scale." (He identified as a 3 himself.)

I've read both his huge volumes; Sexual Behavior in the Human Male 1948, and Human Sexuality in the Human Female 1953, first editions and my husband and I belong to the Kinsey Institute. It's a HUGE body of work, the "Scale" is only a small part of it.

Much work has been done on human sexuality since Kinsey did his groundbreaking work, and some of his information is, of course, outdated. But, he started the Sexual Revolution. Simply by talking about it, writing about it, researching it and DOING it.

Do some research into Alfred Kinsey and you'll see the man and his work is far from "simple." He was as fascinating as his work is and remains.

A good introduction to Alfred Kinsey (in a nutshell and from someone elses Point of View, of course) is the movie, Kinsey with Liam Neesan. It's a pretty good movie and has some interesting moments in Kinsey's life.

0, and I don't really care. Your sexuality is your business. Yea, it's obviously out there, but no one should judge you because of it.

Oops! Hit 2, meant 1. I don't care about other people's scores, although it can be an interesting thing to talk about! Other than discussions like that it just isn't a factor in my interactions with people.

Really, it's just another label though...I try to avoid those whenever possible.

it's way more complicated than a spectrum. this scale totally leaves out genderqueer people...

Its not really a test, it's just a self-evluation scale based on your experience and your rating can change over time. The scale is still under research, but u can find some possible scales on the internet that resemble what kind of questions it might have.

A 3 which is about right. But I don't personally care what number. I go with what I feel.

Were I not married, I'd probably score a lot higher on the number chart. Because I loves me some ladies.

I'm a 2 almost three. I prefer looking at naked females then males, I'm more turned on by females but chemical speaking I am only turned on by males.

called myself a 4 because I like both men and women but I find women more atractive (at the moment, I do have my days when I prefer men but they're not as frequent)

Scored a 3, not sure how accurate that is.

I am probably around a 4 on the scale. While I am in a relationship with a woman, I do find men attractive and have dated them before. Of course, most men I find attractive are sixes on the Kinsey scale, but that's a different story.

About a 2. In terms of attraction (both sexual and romantic) I'm about equal in the number of males and females, but I've only been with a male.

I just looked it up.
I would classify myself as a 4.
I seem to prefer females, but I'm currently (and will ideally remain) in my relationship with my boyfriend.

I like folks. Only ever dated women, but that doesn't mean I'd never date a man or non-binary person.
