Even though we are doing "Thanksgiving" at home, we are going to two different friends homes for "desert". (People will be bringing deserts too..kind of Pot Luck). One of them is "charging admission"...two new, unwrapped toys, about $10 each, to be given to the woman's shelter for the children there.
Amazingly, she has had over 100 couples reply they will be coming by!!!! (many just to drop off a couple toys). We think that is totally awesome and a tradition worth continuing. If they get "whipped" by the workload of this, this year, we are going to do it at our house next year.
