I watched it once to see what all the fuss was about... That was the last time I watched it. I just think the show is so pointless.

That's sad. I'm Italian American and the show (what I've seen of it from clips, I refuse to watch it) makes stereotypes of Italian Americans and makes us look like idiots.

None of my family members dress or act like any of the cast members of this show. We're all educated and intelligent and pretty successful. We look Italian, because of our hair color and our skin tone and our body shape (Mediterraneans tend to have short, stocky, well shaped bodies as a whole. Sadly, my body resembles what's-her-name&a mp;# 39;s... Nookie? I'm short and stacked with big boobs and a big butt. Both of us will probably turn into "little barrels" as we get older. (Although I'm quite a bit older than Nookie the way it is, I haven't gone "full Italian Gramma Barrel yet.) A lot of my cousins "talk like an Italian" but that has more to do with being raised in Chicago and having a "Chicago accent" than anything else. They are still intelligent educated people. but I hate that people think ALL Italian Americans act like this.

I'd love to see a show about Chicago Italian Americans, where the people are successful, happy and well mannered, aren't in The Mob, don't have 6 inch long square nails, but still hold on to some of their heritage. I guess that isn't dramatic enough. *sigh*
